Georgi, I really like that (IMO you've got Anomen's style down pat). I think we should at this stage keep our options open with regard to Valygar and/or Kivan/Edwin, maybe refine and decide later on.

Here is an idea for a first dialogue between an LG Anomen and Kivan. I'm playing with the premise here of Anomen initially liking Kivan and being a little oblivious of his emerging feelings towards the pc.

Anomen: Kivan, I wanted to say how much I appreciate your companionship. It is not often that I meet one so honourable outside the Order.

Kivan:As I have spent much of my life roaming the wilds I know little of the Order. But....I thank you for your compliment nonetheless.

Anomen: Should we return to Athkatla I would be pleased to introduce you to the Radient Heart, they would find your vigilance against evil and corruption a most noble pursuit.

Kivan: Anomen.....I am not certain that I am worthy of such praise....I.....perhaps we should continue our journey. As you are no doubt aware "N" has much to attend to.

An idea for an initial dialogue between Kivan and a CN Anomen.

Anomen: Kivan you must find much satisfaction in avenging xx's death. I too have experienced the sweet joy of bringing to justice one who caused me loss and pain. Alas, that my joy was to be transitory for I discovered that I murdered the wrong man. You are fortunate in that you have nothing to doubt in this regard.

Kivan: Yes, now, thanks to "N", I can finally begin to put the past aside. You must struggle daily knowing that you condemned an innocent to the dark thrust of your blade. I would not like to be in your situation.

Anomen: It is only my love for "N" that allows me to continue. I cannot imagine what my life would be like without her support and companionship. Surely I would go mad without her.

Kivan: Yes.....I can understand that. But... as you are no doubt aware, "N" has much to attend to. Perhaps we should continue our journey.

I am normally such a nice guy, I find it hard to channelEdwin. But for the Ladies of the Dark Flame, I'll give it a try. Here's some snippets, vignettes if you will...

----------

Edwin: I notice you are fond of wielding a BROAD sword... (How appropriate!)

----------

Edwin: I have never been fond of sleeping in the wilds... (so disgustingly primeval.)

PC: The woods can be quite peaceful and... private.

Edwin: Then perhaps this might be a good time for some private time. Perhaps you would like me to remove my robes, that you may gaze upon my mind, honed through years of difficult training.... (that oughta get her.)

PC: Edwin! Have you been listening in on my private discussions with Anomen? *slap*

Edwin: (Yes, she wants me.)

----------

PC: Edwin, is that a wand of Cloudkill in your robes, or are you just glad to see me?

----------

PC: Edwin, would you ever consider shaving?

Edwin: No blade will ever touch my face, woman.

PC: Not even my trusty Razor +5 Of Exotic Pleasures?

Edwin: I.... I.... (Damn, I hate to be speechless in front of this woman!)

PC: Eddie, you seem a bit flustered...

Edwin: No! I... I...

PC: Besides, I wasn't talking about shaving your face.

Edwin: Humnana, humnana.

PC: And I wouldn't be adverse to a little quid pro quo, tit for tat, as it were...

*Edwin explodes*
That there; exactly the kinda diversion we coulda used.

Craig. Cernd is attractive, but I've never had him in my party long enough to get to know him (I don't really find him that useful, just my opinion) , so I can't channel him at all. Besides, since we're already juggling Valygar, Kivan and Edwin.........Ah so many men......so little time ;)
I don't know what anyone else thinks though?????

Gwalchmai: LOL :) That's actually how I pictured taming that self absorbed Edwin ;)

Dragonwench and Georgi: Great additions on the Kivan /Anomen front :) Should there be some talk of his past love (unless I missed it?) It shows what a sweet man he is, capable of such devotion... :)

Craig: Truthfully, I dont' find Cernd all that attractive. He had a wife whom he left to be 'one with the woods'. (could be wrong, but I think he has a son too?). I just think that he couldn've brought her with, therefore he's not quite the best romance option... IMHO ;)

Hmmm, have to agree with DW, I never kept Cernd for very long, don't really know much about him (there's a reason I'm concentrating on the Anomen side of things!) but I guess he could be an option. It's probably a good idea not to get too ambitious though!
Like the Kivan dialogues btw DW :)

Dark Poet; LOL!
To be honest, endearing as I find Minsc I'm not certain I want to entertain the thought of him petting anything.....
I could only envision a romance with Minsc with a really good healer in the party. Oh dear...poor Minsc!

Darkpoet: *hug* I LOVE Minsc, the muscles, the loyalty, the funny dialogue, the absolute absence of thought ;) But, I've heard it's sort of like romancing a child, 'not to be done'...or so I've been told *sighs forlornly*

Ladies: We could get our very own Harem slave if we wanted one ;) *points at Darkpoet and winks*

Darkpoet: *slap* Bad Darkpoet! Keldorn is married with children! Tsk!
;)

Gwalchmai: He also licks boots pretty well too ;) But, I think we'd have trouble getting him to leave SYM long enough, so I withdraw my suggestion :)

Don't worry Gwalchmai, in the collective heart of The Harem, you'll always be chief slave :D . Although, surely some assistance in whipping all that cream (sorry Velvetfreak ;) ) and securing the Tia Maria would not be unwelcome?
Love the Edwin vignettes BTW.

Ahem, we should behave ourselves before we get censored or transferred over to SYM. :D

Darkpoet: Well, you'll always be one of my favorite slaves, but I'll ask the other Harem members :)

Ladies: It's up to you :) We may not *need* a slave, but I say who else to help us keep the tent tidy and get hairbrushes etc... ;) But, it may be a distraction from our dialogue mission, so I understand if not :)

Gwalchmai: You're a slave too? Neato :)

But, yes back to serious dialogue, don't want to be pushed into SYM. (Who knows what would happen there!)

On a serious note, I would like to thank all who have contributed as we work out our romance dialogue ideas :)

I admit Mr. Poet has better access to floral resources than I - all I could provide are a bunch of cactus... In my defense, I would say you haven't really been hugged until you've been hugged by me. Nevertheless *sigh* I'll acquiesce. The will of the Harem be done. But I'll be lurking here, eager to help out any way I can.

Meantime, I'll be attempting to channel Valygar for you.

I love this thread :D :D :D

dw's point about Kivan being a potential friend/rival to Anomen is an important one.

I've scripted a possible "Decision Dialogue", for when the PC has to finally choose between Anomen and whoever.

A: Enough of this! I can no longer tolerate the way you cruelly play with my heart. Speak the truth to me and speak it plain -- are you to abandon me for him?

PC: a)I don't know...my heart and my mind are torn...
b)Jealousy is a real turn-off, Anomen. I think I'll go with (NPC).
c)No, I've decided to stay with you.

A (in response to answer a., a far more intriguing option...): You don't know?! After everything...N!! I cannot understand you!!

PC: I hardly understand myself, Anomen...

A: *sigh* I...I am sorry...forgive my wrath...only...I see the way you look at him, I see him touch your hand, and you don't object...and my blood begins to rage. It's all I can do to control my fury. I have tried to fight for you, N., and no battle I have ever fought was so hard or meant so much as this one...

PC: I need time, Anomen. Can you respect me enough to give that to me?

A: I suppose...I shall have to. But I am hurt beyond imagining. Your love for me was never as great as mine for you. If it were, you would never so much as consider looking at another man, just as I cannot look at any other woman. At the same time...your indecision gives me hope.
Very well...I shall leave you time to decide where your heart lies. I have but one request of you first...let me kiss you again, just once...and keep the memory of my embrace as you ponder your decision...
You carry my life in your hands, now. I will wait in agony for your answer.

I am such a sap :o
