Well they weren't too many party vs party battles, but they were fun, since you couldn't use cloudkill, and alot of the game's good equipment came from them. In bg2 all you have to do is fire a cludkill into the room of your enemies, then said monsters to finish off the survivers. The last few major fights in bg1 were against other parties. The guys in the iron throne building, then under candlekeep(my favourite), then the guys hnting for you and sarevok, and finally sarevok and his people. Other big fights were outside the cloakwood mines and in the inn in Baldur's Gate.Originally posted by The_Pope:

Not really. From BG1, I loved fighting those Doom Guards in that house in Baldur's Gate, and of course Aec'Telec, which is the best (and toughest) fight I ever had.</STRONG>

The fight against the Harpers is pretty good - they have two spellcasters, a good thief, and a tough fighter.
Also, there are some other cool party fights against harpers in outdoor areas.
Apart from that, the Guarded Compound has a couple of wicked "party" fights, although they are "parties" of monsters.
I almost forgot, the party in the pub at the Promenade makes for a cool battle, too.
