Which NPCs is everyone using?

i know about the weird interactions.
Keldorn praises Korgan
Korgan praises Valygar
And Keldorn praises Valygar too

nice to have them all in one party

First party: Anomen, Minsc, Mazzy (traded for Sarevok), Valygar, Yoshimo (traded for Imoen) and I played a sorceress.
Second party: Viconia, Minsc, Jan, Nalia (trade for Yoshimo on way to Spellhold and then for Imoen),Cernd (trade for Sarevok), and I'm playing an Archer.

My first party was:
Cridion - Bounty Hunter (traps rock!)
Minsc - Go Boo!
Aerie - Useful with cleric/mage status
Anomen - Useful with cleric/fighter status
Keldorn - Couldn't resist Carsomyr
Nalia - Good mage, but replaced with Imoen
As you can see there is one thief(Cridion), two mages(Aerie/Nalia), two clerics(Aerie/Anomen), and three fighters(Minsc/Keldorn/Anomen). This party is IMHO well balanced. Also, I don't need Yoshimo. Edwin, Korgan and Viconia weren't included because of their alignments and possible conflicts.

My party is going to be like this:

Me! Lanya the amazing bard! Wielding longsword/bastard (if I make her a blade, she dualwields daggers)

Nalia: main mage!

Jan: thief, backup mage and nice dialogue with everyone, especially with Nalia.

Viconia: main healer and cleric who tanks if needed. Nice personality.

Anomen: MAin tank who can also heal and stuff.

Jaheira: The necessary druid who tanks and heals.

Very magicheavy party, but I like it like that.

Nice to see how this works out. Should have a lot of nice dialogue.

I went through the game about half way with the npc's until I finally had a revelation: the npc's suck. I then restarted the game with two of my own creations:

berserker
wizard slayer to level 9, dual to thief

I found this to be an incredibly powerful combo, I'm never playing with npc's again.

My first time through

Lothar- Cavalier
Minsc + Boo- Great fighter (so is Minsc)
Jahiera- insect plague is helpful
Aerie- Romance
Anomen- fellow knight and healer
Imoen- gotta have my little sis

Until i got Imoen I used Nailia, who was replaced by Valygar for the sphere quest.

Second time

Terenz- Monk
Minsc
Jahiera
Viconia- Romance ( gotta love strong Women)
Jan - Great thief, decent mage, great storyteller
Imoen->Nalia->Valygar-> Imoen

Second time through:

Me - Swashbucker/Fighter (so I don't have to leave all those chests trapped and unopened. Also patterned after PnP character.
Virconia - Love interest
Multiplayer sorcerer - had to have a sorcerer
Imoen - after rescue from Spellhold. She's along for the ride and the occasional 'debuffs'

First time through was

Me - Kensai/mage (had to see what all the fuss was about)
Keldorn - the guy just plain kicks arse
Anomen - awesome and a front line fighter with master of war hammer)
Valygar - how come nobody likes this guy...he's great)
Jaheira - Love interest and bust ya in the chops fighter
Yoshimo/Imoen - The scumbag was replaced by sis,who hangs out in the background and soaks up experience.

Badges? We don't need no stinken'a badges...

Sarevok and Imoen have some really 'nice' conversations, BTW...

Analise:
Haer Dalis: Simply the best, a full party inn one, awesome abilities.

Serevok: Only a good fighter, I think I put him in the party only because Historical purposes.

Korgan: As Serevok but without the historical purpose, don't know why I put him.

Jaheira: Good multiclass( I like with scimitars)

Edwin: Awesome Npc! Very powerfull.

Aerie: So so, good for few menbers party, Talk too much.

Viconia: Great cleric, but thats all. I prefer run for Aerie.

Cernd: Nice character, beter after the Scales armor rule changes(White and Black)

Anomem: The most anoying character of all the game. He beat( in anoying) Aerie and that guy who keeps talking with you everytime.

Keldorn: The only thing that make him not that bad is the True Sight/Dispell and of course the Casomyr.

Jan: Is good if you know the Yoshimo/Imoen spoilers.

Imoen: Too much sporadic.

Valigar: Good, better than Keldorn.

Nalia: Never used.

Mazzy: Never used.

Yes: Don't!

Unless she annoys you, of course. She's very handy in many ways if you learn how to use her.
