Well, many members on the forum are not native speakers, so we can't expect them to spell every word correctly or even express themselves in the most appropriate way, right? Using shortenings like b/c or w/o is my bad habit, too, I admit. It's quicker :) But if there was a forum rule or suggestion to avoid this, I'd gladly do it for the sake of the moderators ;)

I agree that the best way to treat those whose post is a mess is simply to ignore it. (It often turns out that... hm.. how to put it... let's say they're not mature engouh to be a part of such a nice community that we have here :D )

I must admit that I am a bit old-fashioned. One's usage of language reveals much about the person, in many cases. Youth, inexperience, or lack of education is not in itself a strike against anyone...as I think most here would agree. I know that I can spot such things when I see them. However, the culture that has surfaced in the past decade is one that seems to me to butcher and abuse language, and seems to indicate a lack of caring. Leet speak is slovenly, to me.

Right you are. I'm just protecting the foreigners. Let's try to give a good example, then, maybe the rest will follow :)
