I need some help with the Jaheira romance! I have gotten as far as #29 ( Dermin tells Jaheira that the Harper court has decided her fate), and she tells him she will think about it. This shows up in the quest log, BTW. So now, I went to Umar Hills and rested. Jaheira was STILL there. So I did all the Umar Hills quests, and went back to Athkatla. I rested again, and Jaheira still had not left yet. What am I missing? Are the sleep events time based as well? I still have my save from directly AFTER my 2nd meeting with Dermin. Any help would be appreciated!

If I may, I woule like to request some help from the powergamers. IIRC when I had the first fight with Dermin, I believe that I wound up killing him (I could be wrong about this since it has been sometime now), but suffice it to say that I have moved the romance along (forceably using the console) to LT 65, the next dialog should be "We should be arriving at our destination" or something to that effect. I have tried to move it along further (using console commands) but to no avail (setting the timer to 1 using CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("JaheiraRomance","GLOBALS",1). My question is this: Is there a trigger that I should know about? or anyway to get this to move along? I'd like to get the pin and exp, and then move into finishing the game (I'm in chapter 6) any help would be greatly appricated. Thanks.

@Mad: Do you have ToB installed? I could take a look at your savegame, if you do. If not, download Manveru's [url="http://www.worldzone.net/games/manveru"]patch[/url].

See my request for clarification on Manveru's patch. I can say that the SECOND I installed it my Harper plot began moving forward and have not had a single problem with it since.

I got the "dawning of a new day" dialog after I killed Dermin. Is that bad?

Yes, because getting this dialog after the battle with Dermin generally means the romance will loop. You can download Manveru's patch to get past this problem.

Is there something I have to do to get the Jaheira romance to go along forcefully? I have under Program Options Debug Mode=1 and I can cheat, but i can't use the force romance thing. What's wrong?

Does the romance walktrough work after Underdark ? I don't have any time in the first chapters because I must rescue Imoen.

Im on dialouge 49...any help for 50?

Excellent job, Valecrion. Nonetheless there is at least one more conversation for the list to be full: between 31st and 32nd there might (should?) be "Is ... is this an inconvenient time for us to speak?". It's about you've followed though haven't had to. I've had it still in Harpers' Hold while picking up the loot.

I got a non-listed dialog after finding the poisoned man, but before the Xzar/Montaron quest. It opened up with something like "It's been a while since I've been to Amn", or some such drivel. Just thought I'd point that out.

i think i have found some patch to correct the famous Dermin bug, well actualy it s 1 patch and 1 mod, i m testing it actualy and will let you know once the romance is finnaly over.

ok here i come, so if you have SoA and ToB installed then you are totaly doomed just like me, i tried many thing with console but there is too much variable to change so here is the solution for you if you plan to romance jaheira.

uninstall whole game, then install SoA and load your save like some ppl explained already ( you can't do that if you have done watcher's tower )

now the romance is fixed but only if you restart a new game, it wont fix the romance in your old save

got stuck at 32

This is really a great walkthrough for the jaheira romance.

I don't seem to be able to get the dialog event #32:
"Ah, the dawning of our day..."

I got jaheira back from the harpers and i tried pausing for quite a while (well over 3 hours) and i didn't get that dialog.
However, despite not getting that dialog, if i sleep in the wild Dermin does show up (event #33) to try to kill jaheira. But sleeping again won't trigger the next event (#34).

I would appreciate any suggestions you might have.

i think it s the step where you need to wait 5 ingame days, just keep sleeping til it trigger the event.
Be sure to be outdoors aswell.

MAJOR BUG ALERT!

If you are playing SoA with the ToB add on installed, Dermin will NOT SHOW. To get Dermin to show, you must continue the game with the SoA and program ONLY. I think the designers overwrote something by accident when they modified the Jaheira script for ToB.

Help!! I did this and now my game won't load.

This post is made a while back. After this, there is publised a patch which fixes this bug. You can install ToB (use the official patch) and continue playing. It should do fine.
