How long does snow stick where you are? As Gwalchmai suggested, the changes where I am might be due more to urban sprawl than ozone layer problems, but decades ago they used to get a snow here in December or January that stayed through March. Now, it does what yours does: turns to grey mush within a day or so.
Well the snow usually stick around for a few hours, but If we're lucky, it might even remain for a week.

I was right about the slippyness, now the entire city is filled with frozen sleet. Add that to the fact that I have to go downhill to reach my school. :(

Cloudy and 57 Fahrenheit, with more clouds, and some rain, over the next five days.

At least you have Dutch architecture.

Heading towards a warm, rainy weekend. Personally, cold and clear is more my style.

46F and hazy, with a good deal of sunshine. It's supposed to hit 62 today, with plenty of clouds. The weatherpeople are still forecasting five days of rain ahead, which means nobody has paid them enough to change it to sunny. :(

EDIT: Bah. Thirty minutes, and now it's completely cloudy.

It's snowing for the first time this year, and strangely enough there's also lightning. It's all rather soothing though, so as long as I don't have to go outside I'm quite content ;)

Austin, Texas today: it's about 60 degrees F or so outside, foggy, with the rather distinctive smell of car exhaust in the air. My oh my, how I miss living in the sticks of Tennessee, where it would be about 45 degrees F or so outside, clear, with the very distinctive smell of cow doo-doo in the air. :D Oh...that, and some idiotic rooster will have been crowing steadily since 3 AM .

Which part of Florida? I worked for 4 years in Gainesville, and 2 years in Miami.

It's in the 50s, nighttime, and cloudy. Of course.

Blizzards, 10 cm of snow, -5 C. I could use a sledge and some dogs when I go to work. The Northen wind has been harsh for some days, but today is calm, bright and cold.
I'm not sure about all this global warming stuff... The climate changes on a cyclical basis, or so I hear. So although global warming might have some effect, the climate would have been changing anyway. I'm not really an expert. Does anyone know anything about this?
Yes. Whereas some political organisations, mainly in the US, argue that global warming does not exist or cannot be demonstrated, the consensus among earth scientists (also American such) is that we now observe climate changes that are unlikely to be caused only by natural fluctuations. There has been many major scientific reports about this in the best journals such as Nature and Science, NAS (National Academy of Sciences in the US) has published a popular paper about it, official reports has been written...I just don't have the time to dig out the material right now, will do next week if you are interested. The conclusion is anyway that human activities is affecting the climate.

EDIT: Some links:

Web leaflet from NAS including many links and references.

New Scientist's website about global warming, includes many articles with references to original research data.
