Jeese, that's another tough one. I'm doing all this from memory y'know and I am getting old.

How's aboot:

two weapons +++
longsword +
Warhammer +

longbow ++

two handed ++
two-h sword +

I know there's 10 but I'll be level 9 very quickly. I might knock the 2-H weapons and put them on the longswrod/warhammer.

As for the thief skills - cripes kid, I don't know. Lots in set traps then I'll rely on potions/items to boost the rest.

Thanks but why do you want something in longbow I mean it is not good just dual wield celetial fury and Crom Faeyer. That should be good enough. btw did you ever buy the mercykiller ring from deidre.

That ring sounds good! Is Deirdre in the special edition? I have the patch for that.

I like to be flexible - There are some good bows out there and having str of 19 (*ahem*) means I don't need to over-specialise in my hadn-to-hand weapons.

I quite fancy 2-handed weapon proficiencies. I mean, a critical hit of 19 or 20 with a str 19 2 handed sword? Lovely.

I might be spreading myself *too* thin with this guy.

Are you still working. While I am posting this I just keep bg2 up to wait for the Jaheira romance. I am standing before the shadow dragon right now. It is the last quest before I have completed them all and then I finally make my second visit to Brynnlaw. First time I lost the wardstone and I had to start over because I killed the pirate lord.

Yes deirdre is the one from the special edition. The one in the adventure mart. Use it with the ring of gaxx or before that with a stupid ring of lock picking. Do you know which side you are going to choice. Bodhi or Aran.

Right now I am playing cavalier ac -10 with holy avenger+5. But I like to play a bounty hunter. Nice traps. But I got tired of the stronghold so I started a paladin. Only stronghold I haven't had is the ranger stronghold.

If you want your stronghold you will have to take aran. Or else bodhi will walk away.

That's what I'm saying see. You can buff up the other characters with great items. But what about your thief? People will disagree, but IMHO I don't like yoshimo and Jan is a poor substitute for a thief or a mage. Imoen is gone too long and Nalia is a poor thief.

By dual classing at level 5 I can have a kick-a fighter who, with rings/boots/armour/potions, backstabs etc.

And if he has to go toe-to-toe in a fight, switch into plate mail!

Main reason for dualling: you get lots of extra proficiences at low level and beyond that are otherwise impossible to obtain.

My sig explanation is in your cute sister's thread ('how did you get tha' or something').

And there is one problem if you don't have a thief in your party you will either be killed with traps(argh) or you can't open some chests(argh) and a thief is great in combo with cloak of non detection. Just backstab my good man. I find thiefs the greatest char because of all their abilities.

You don't have the get into plate mail. My sis got a fighter\thief with ac of -9 without the ring of gaxx. And she was equipped with flail of ages that (saw it happen a few times) hits through stoneskin.
