I have. I liked it. Made me think a little, something most of my school teachers have yet to achieve.
Warning: we must keep posting quotes now and then to stay on topic. ;)

From Amelie:

Narrator: [First lines in the film, by the way] On September 3rd 1973, at 6:28pm and 32 seconds, a bluebottle fly capable of 14,670 wing beats a minute landed on Rue St Vincent, Montmartre. At the same moment, on a restaurant terrace nearby, the wind magically made two glasses dance unseen on a tablecloth. Meanwhile, in a 5th-floor flat, 28 Avenue Trudaine, Paris 9, returning from his best friend's funeral, Eugène Colère erased his name from his address book. At the same moment, a sperm with one X chromosome, belonging to Raphaël Poulain, made a dash for an egg in his wife Amandine. Nine months later, Amelie Poulain was born.

****************

Narrator: Amelie has one friend, Blubber. [Shot of a goldfish bowl.] Alas, the home environment has made Blubber suicidal. [Pet goldfish leaps out of fish bowl in an attempted suicide.]

****************

Narrator: With a prompter in every cellar window whispering comebacks, shy people would have the last laugh.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

From Shawshank Redemption when Andy Dufresne's cell is being inspected and the warden is about to leave, realising he still holds Andy's bible, he hands it back saying

Warden Norton - I wouldn't want to take this away from you, salvation lies within.

SPOILER: Andy hides a rock hammer in the bible which he later uses to escape

:) Nice Thread!

My favorite movie quote has to be from Pulp Fiction. I forget the character names but...

-Who's is the motorcycle?
-It's not a motorcycle, it's a chopper.
-Who's is the chopper?
-It's Zed's.
-Who's Zed?
-Zed's dead babe... Zed is dead.
Mag: Don't remember much at all of last night do you?
Me: put simply.... No :D
Mag: From what I put together of your late night drunken ramblings? Vodka, 3 girls, and then we played tic-tac-toe and slapped each other around.

All time greats...

This isn't from a movie- it's from OJ Simpson's legendary "low speed chase". That's right, this actually happened:

[quote="Al Cowlings]"]
To paraphrase Bill Simmons, there's comedy, there's high comedy, there's transcendant comedy, and then there's Al Cowlings driving OJ on the low speed chase.

Some other favorites:

"Maybe the problems of two people don't amount to a hill of beans. But this is our hill. And these are our beans!"
--Lt. Frank Drebin (The Naked Gun series)

"Everything ends badly, otherwise it wouldn't end"
--Coughlin the bartender, C0cktail

Also recieving votes:
-Anything from The Big Lebowski, Fight Club, or The Shawshank Redemption

In closing, I'll leave you with that gem from Spaceballs:

Lonestar: "Just what we need, a Druish princess."

Barf: "Funny, she doesn't look Druish."

(I'm giggling just writing these :D )

They are really fun movies, and all of them (all 4) are worth watching. The first is kind of serious, and looks a little dated now, but you can see the chemestry between Mel Gibson and Danny Glover immediately. By the time the fourth movie comes around, they are making fun of their own series. You should give them a shot (Lethal Weapon 4 is on TNT all the time these day, but you should rent it- the TV version isn't as good as the original).
