Aren't mindflayers hard if you have just 3 int?

Yes mindflayers are VERY hard with an Int of 3. Curdis (Paladin Int 2!) ran screaming from them until he found out about potions of genius. Take one before your first mindflayer and one every hit (They boost INT by 5, cumulative). - Curdis

I wonder if your Sorceror was able to carry his spellbook with that strength score! Image

Oh sorry, almost forgot sorcerors HAVE no spell book! Clever!

@Weasel: What race is your char? Imbecile whimp?

@Garcia: Seems that you like to max out your stats.
Hint: Non-fighters do not benefit from a constitution score above 16.

The first time I played BG1, I used a Paladin:

St: 19
Dx: 18
Co: 19
In: 10
Wi: 14
Ch: 18

I used the Str, Con and Cha tomes on this character.

Second time I played it (after knowing about BG2) I played a thief all the way, planning toc dual-class later....

St: 19
Dx: 19
Co: 16
In: 19
Wi: 10
Ch: 15

This guy dualled to mage at level 10 (swashbuckler).

Again, I used 3 tomes, Str, Dex and Int. I figured I ought to share a LITTLE, right?

That is a rolled total of 95 on both sets. The Paladin got that easy, the thief...took quite a while.

By the way, I gave Jaheira all 3 Wisdom tomes in BG1, and Minsc got a score boost, too....does anyone else think that IF you raised their scores in a legitimate play of BG1 you ought to be able to have them with the same score in BG2?

Well, it doesn't even matter who died and who survived in BG1. IMO this is far more important.

No Edwin, no Viconia...

Cavalier,
(I went through BG1 6 times to get him) And before you say I cheated remember I spent the time going through the game to get this, not by hacking.

This was done in BG1.. And I believe if you went through BG1 one time yes you should keep your char. I had to much time on my hands.

Weasel, did I mentioned you are a sick person? Yes, I think I did. Hey, my friend (your future psychiatrist) called me, he is ready to start working on your case. When I told him you played BG 6 times with the same char to max him out (or at least that is what you say you did Image ) he suggested locking you in a steel cage.

btw he is a BG fan too (a shrink playing BG2, can you imagine that?)

I thought 7 times would be to much. Image And Ubik I can tell you how many days it takes to get them all too. Image I will admit now that this board has given me a lesson and I will not spend my time going through the game again to get this stats. TeamBG.. Image If I would have known about this place it would have saved me so much time. Image

Hold on a minute the phone is ringing....Hello...Hello.. A collect call from Greece? Image
