Character Stats

Hi JoeMolley

Thanks for the compliment.

Yup. Vale of Ruin was challenging to say the least. However, I have to admit, I think that the Alter of Shadows or Shadow Ruins (whichever is the correct term) was MUCH more confusing. Although, besides fire breathing critters in the Vale, I found the stairs dungeon to be quite challenging for sure.

Unfortunately for me, it looks like it's all over but the crying for this character.
I have 3 different saves prior and 2 after setting the blood vile in the Unholy Arc; have run around; gone camping; killed crap loads of creatures etc etc, and still can't get the succubus to come down.
So I guess I will have to start all over with a new character.
However, I am pissed enough that I won't do it again until there are sufficient patches to fix all the bugs in this game. It is too depressing to have made it this far and now fail.
I am not even getting attacked any more. During an entire night, all I had were two trees attack me. Pretty boring.

Anyway, I thank you once again for the compliments. I see your stats are nothing to sneeze at either.
I tried this game with some friends at a LAN party 2 weeks ago (my first time). It was a hoot. Maybe someday we can hook-up online for some gaming action.

Tiger out !

Here is my Character with Shaduroth lying dead at his feet. What an anticlimax: the guy freezes so that he is a push-over.

Anyway at least I have a full complement of Deathlord Armor :D

Nice Picture!

The deathlord armor rox :)
I too was disappointed that the last boss was so easy... I used the sapphire greatsword and took him out the same way.

Final Stats & Action Pic

Hello everyone.
I finally finished the game.
First I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have helped guide me through this maze of confusion (the game), without which I would have been lost forever and would have given up much sooner.

The final battles were good ones. I had a heck of a time killing the witch. I don't think I listened to Ellowyn very well. I did obtain the throw the orbs into the fire but seems to me she mentioned something else (a sword maybe ?).

Anyway, I am posting my final stats as well as one action pic of the final battle.

PS> Ellowyn is a hottie .... hehe !

Thanks again.

PPSS> I wonder if the next patch will (amongst other things), actually permit us to carry on with these characters ?

My stats

This was my last save point before I beat the game. I am currently going back through the game to try to acquire more ranks other than fighter/lord.

Lady Macbeth

Here is my new Character a female elven Enchantress/Sorceress after having finished the Trial of the Elders where she killed the Elder Kyusho (669.900XP), the Banshee (466.558XP) and the Elder Master (810.550XP). Unfortunately, the Wizard in the fourth room disappeared before she could kill him :(

Anyway, entered the Trial at Level 9 and left at Level 12 :)

Note that she is using a Staff of Burning.

I am playing the same character (so far). But I am dreading the final part of the elder test. I do not want to resort to melee style but the regen rate for the spells is sooooo bad.

Actually I was surprised how easy the final room was. For some reason the spawning was much lower than I remembered it (because I am an elf?). Anyway, the trick is to use a Ward of Fire on yourself so that the Wizard at the top can't harm you.

Either let him finish everyone off for you or, resort to melee. I did with surprising results. You can always use the elven sword of fire if you so wish although, the wand worked fine for me.

Level 35

I made a mistake with this character by not going with a class that could give me heavy armor and weapons. I made it through without any problems. I found I could pour points into physical attributes instead. When the patch 1.3 comes out I will play again and go to level 40 before completing the game. I wish they would make it so you could go wander around playing random monsters with the setting on high just to test your final strengths. Obtaining the shield relic early works well. I took out those flying demons hurling stuff at me by just standing there and reflecting their magic back at them. It took a while but they would eventually just kill themselves if I was patient enough. Also taking out the Athena Bashers with a bow or knife is tedious but gains almost 1/2 a million points for each one.

Level 43

Here is my one and only character. She's not too well built, but can deal to most challenges so far in the game (Guess that's because of the sapphire greatsword: Freezes the enemies).

So far I've not finished the game. Guess that the characters level is a bit above average compared to the others that have completed the game. The main reason that my character has reached lvl 40+ is that I've tried to XP some on the best place I've found (stable XP, not only one monster with super XP): Moonbeasts on the large island in Lost Lake (NorthWest on the map). - Remember to have max difficulty and more random encounters ;)

Maybe I will complete the game after 1.3 patch (Need automap).
