Somehow extreme political groups got outlawed when I wasn't looking
Hah, count on your bureaucracies to mangle your directives (or even a simple remark...)!

I just can't see how anything I did led to that? Odd

It would help if there was a record of the decisions so you could attempt to work out the kinds of consequences it gives. (I know.....I should remember. But I don't)

Did you get that thing about the animal liberation front? Maybe dismissing it was enough to ban extremists?

(I chose the middle way and now eating meat is frowned upon... idjits...)

Nope, didn't get that one yet, I dont' think. I can't remember what I got this morning. But I certainly didn't think it was political whatever it was

I saw that. That is bizarre. On the other hand, at least now you won't have far-left or far-right groups trying to take over and institute fascist or socialist legislation. :p

I wish we got that record, too; I can barely remember what issues I dealt with yesterday, let alone over the course of the game. I know I had something to do with big business and cloning yesterday, although I'm not 100% if I'm right. Today, it was... um... something, and marijuana.

I had that one, and I chose the middleground, too. I thought it would work if we did less torture on the chickens because it wouldn't really affect the taste. Suddenly, eating meat is frowned upon in my country. Frankly, that is stupid.

Ugh, this marijuana issue is just... ugh. I'm looking at the issue again, because I'm still not sure if I really want to dismiss this; it'd be the first issue I ever dismissed. Anyway, the way option one is worded seems to indicate that people are smoking at work, and we would only outlaw smoking weed at work. But considering how odd this game is, I'm a bit skeptical. I'll probably keep this issue for a few days, ignoring it and solving other ones, before I decide.

Well, I decided to sign up too... the plan is to make a hippy paradise. Anyway, those people that ask you to join groups in the telegram... are they bot things sent out... or are they actual people writing that much stuff up?

And I've added everything (I think), except for Chu since his link didn't seem to work.

Oh, and if you don't know what the default flag is, it is the Australian Aboriginal flag.

Ecklopia's national animal is the used car salesman, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the button.

By the Hammer of Thor! Fiona has an avatar!! :speech:  :speech:

I just resolved an issue brought up that involved finding uranium in the middle of an ancietn rainforest and have taken the middle root, allowing some of the forest to be cleared so uranium (and nukes) can be the hot commodity. Here's to hoping such a decision doesn't bring ruin upon my Dalefolk, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get in on W's Axis of Evil. ;)

DJ, I think it is people sending them mostly (though it may be bots, i suppose) who just have their greeting/join-us telegram saved somewhere that they can just go through the 'Recent Activity' list, and paste the message into a telegram. Wouldn't be that hard I'm sure, but the one's who send you telegrams almost immediately upon starting the place up may be bots. Regardless, the Region you may/may not join is inhabited by people and not bots so you're good with whatever route you take. :)

I had that one. The middle ground really doesn't seem to do much for your country, from what I noticed; all I got was the lovely message that my landscape was a desolate landscape, anyway (but it did mention that companies were trying to use environmentally-safe methods for mining).

Fiona, did you just leave the UN?

@ Chim. Yes I did. They abolished the working time directive and I am in the huff :p

Tony you should have jsut asked me for some uranium, mining it is one of my largest industries.

Bah, and now to the task of adding all those of the SYMliness.
Jennifer Government: NationStates
There you shall find the Empire of Phreddie, a so-called innofensive centrist democracy.

Also, was therre going to be a region made for the SYMians?

I wish there was something more extensive in the way of trade, something you could actually see benefits to. And war, naturally. :D

Good lord, things have been getting worse for my little dictatorship. Civil Rights are Average, the Economy is Fair... I swear, if somehow Political Freedoms changes from Outlawed, I'm renaming my empire suitably; it's clear I don't control things that well, so obviously I've had a coup. And I love how I sided with the workers like a true socialist in an issue, and rather than things clearing up, I'm suddenly ravaged by daily union strikes. Give people an inch...

Bah! Daily union strikes is the way to go. Nothing is too good for the workers ;)

I think I've found out how you outlawed extreme political parties. Anyway, I have a choice that kind of conflicts with my bizarre... ness. I can either outlaw Nazi supporters planning to rally, or I can support my brothers in extreme parties by supporting something as silly as free speech.

Hrm. Civil Rights are now Good, and I get the feeling that allowing this rally to go forth will shift my Political Freedoms.

It is illegal to make racist remarks in public, gambling is outlawed, punitive tariffs protect local industry, and marijuana is legal in the privacy of your own home. Crime is moderate. Snatzes's national animal is the Snoza and its currency is the Sneeze.

Yes, Snatze got it all!

Do I allow the Nazi's to stage a rally, or do I listen to the Jewish personalities Chastity Jong-Il and Roxanne Bush?

Don't be fascist, like Fiona. Be liberal, and allow people to express their beliefs, like me. :p
