Mmm... I thought rednecks always carry a gun around with them. Isn't that how they open beer cans? Where's BS and Scayde when you need them? :D

I think my fellow Canadians are getting slow. I have yet to hear a jab at my current location in Canada (Alberta).

I know I've made at least one subtle allusion to it.
But yes, since you brought it up, Alberta is definitely the redneck capital of Canada... :p
Though, BC has more than its fair share as well.....wish they'd all move back to Alta where they came from.... :p
The thing is though... Arkansas is renowned as a "hillbilly" area, so anything is possible :p
Is this your subtle allusion. :D

Bah, if you don't want our money, they we'll keep it well out of Bring Cas- Er- BC, and leave all you granolas, hippies and stoners to yourselves. :D

Or you could just bring bring all of the hippies, granolas and stoners with you to Alberta :D
And yes, I know that would be at least 90% of the province.. I don't view such a mass exodus as a bad thing either :D

The reason why he didn;t wait for the police is obvious people. Think about it for a sec...redneck....doesn't have a gun....he's got to be on probation. And, like all true southerners, that means he had something in the room he couldn't afford to let the police see. Could be anything from a still to those stop signs that went missing out on Highway 49 last week. But whatever it was, he had to take the deer out himself so he could hide the evidence. :p

I think he set that all up to be able to eat deer meat without being allowed to hunt them at the woods.

I smell conspiracy.

Warning: contains a serious answer.

I can imagine that the guy feared the animal would cause an unholy mess in the room and a jittery large animal in a fairly small enclosed room full of creature comforts could cause an unholy mess.
And he probably went for subdue annex strangle option since the shoot 'em up option or hack 'n' slash option would have caused blood spatters all over the room (and they hard to get out of linen, covers, wallpaper etc.).
I think that God in creating man somewhat overestimated his ability.

Concussion would be an apropriate method. Hammers in the head works wonders with cattle.

If the guy gets close enough to kill it with his bare hands, why not using a hammer? He could even break the horns.

@Lestat: That is a question I have no answer for :p
