*sighs* I went over this before you came, and honestly have no clue where I put it. Ok...

1. Blood play
2. Body Suspension
3. Anything dealing with needles, sharp objects, burning, etc
4. Anything dealing with "waste", take that as you will
5. Anything dealing with animals
6. Anything involving more than 2 people, no-no. Girls or boys, still a no-no with me.
7. No whips! They hurt... :o

Umm, I think anything else goes...happy?
Evena pink elephant? You know what, never mind this is my fault... I'm gonna go hang out in a little corner of my mind with the pink elephant, Franz and Pat Robertson. :p

Pinky invited me. :D

Oh, crap. My thought provoking thread became nonsense already. Ah well, I have enough of these things lying around the forum. They all eventually turn into something about booze or women.

Go with rugby, it's been a noticeably absent topic of discussion here considering the number of SYMians from the Isles we have.

Funny enough, for those of you who;ve seen the film, 'Garden State' Natalie Portman's fit helmet is actually a scrum cap, a soft helmet (no rigid protection allowed in this game!) worn by some of us to stop our ears getting ripped off when playing.. (ah..lovely Natalie, when will you give in to my stalking?)

Never noticed really, I figured it was an old football (American) helmet or something. Do you play then I take it?

Aye, I certainly do, I'm Welsh, and it's kinda in the blood, our national game, can't say I'm very good at it, but it helps work off the frustrations of the week to put in some thumping tackles on a Saturday afternoon!

Awesome! I'm Irish (halvsies at least) and there are plenty of others here on SYM (in fact I think they outnumber the Americans). I had some friends who used to play Rugby, but every time I tried to play with 'em I ended up with a black eye or bloody nose. Mostly because I never learned how to play: they'd just throw me the ball-thing and then pile on me.

WE WOULDN'T HAVE ALL THIS SPAM!:speech:

Isn't it lovely, that a thread asking what it would be like if the Human race wasn't here, clearly shows what happens when they are here.

no need to be rude! want to add something constructive instead?

I'm quite happy to discuss back on topic if you have something worth answering!

@Red Dragon: I merged your posts. You may want to just use the edit icon next time if you want to add something else in situations such as this.

I'm sure the pretty kitties would appreciate it. ;)

Well it really depends on the animal. This is all based on speculation and assumption. If say Pigs were the dominant species i woudl expect the world to be a muddy dirty flithy place, because of the nature of their habitat. If cats or dogs were the dominant species it would be very different.

You can't just say if there were no humans it would be better. Rather it could be much much worse than right now.

Uhh They wouldn't be around since they evolved in conjunction with humans... unless you mean wild cats and I wouldn't call them kitties. :p ;)

Tigers are pretty kitties to me too. :D

@ CM, That's a very good point. I know of no other species which has the will to dominate, enslave and destroy like humans however.

Well we only learnt to enslave and dominate after we established societies. The same social process can be set up by various races. The point with slavery and racism is because societies were closed off from each other and viewed the others as inferiors.

Look through history and change human for any animal and consider the possibility if it what has happened would be possible? I think yes. Because wars, enslaving et al are social issues and not evolutionary.

Lastly if kitties were the dominant species what would they be doing for "Flying kites" or "Killing Kittens"? Would it be "Hunting Humans"? :p :D

Larry Niven has some interesting notions about societies based on intelligent and tool using species other than apes -the Kzin are basically big cats, for example. I wish there were Pearsons Puppeteers in charge, at least in terms of their approach to danger :D
