Well, you've updated your drivers, tried different resolutions, tried reinstalling, etc. etc. etc. Did you list what version of Windows you were running?

Windows XP
I am still checking into my DVD burner updated drivers?
Also I am running a DFI mother board with SLI PCI Express. Two 6800 graphic cards. And to get the mother board CPU and power supply and ram to work was a chore in its self. Strange thing is that Doom 3 runs great and scares me to death, so I am afraid of combat because after 9 months of no PC or real gaming, the graphic improvment is slightly disturbing.

Patrick, I think I missed this earlier, but--do you have a plain, ordinary CD drive, as well? Because if so, I would suggest installing from that, to avoid potential DVD problems.

Athlon 64 x 2 dual core 3 GHz with 1 GB Memory, Radeon Express 200 series with 256 Mb, a 230 GB drive, Windows XP Media Edition and a partridge in a pear tree :)
But seriously, some games won't even play on this box. Max Paine just craps out. VTMB sometimes poops by making a rattling noise and then crashing to a reboot.

Fable, actually plain but candy coated. It is a BenQ DVD DD ATAPI 2x16x4x16x. Duel layer burner. I know it has drivers and was installed in October or November

Do you have anothercomputer you could just run it on? They make switches you can use to swap your peripherals from one computer to another with a keystroke.

Um CaptRory what is that you speak of,
My other computer is not sufficent to run the game. It is a PCI old school Compaq 500mg, with a 32mg graphic card. and 192 or so RAM.
