Thank you, yaanathn. I agree with you wholeheartedly about Aerie. While I had both Nalia and Imoen with me as better mages, she had such an arsenal of spells at her disposal she would never run out.
I didn't mind Nalia. Her warcry, "For the needy!", was no more annoying than any other battlecry. However, anytime we were underground, she would pipe up with, "How are we helping the less fortunate trudging around down here?". THAT, I found annoying. "Oh, let's see Nalia. Maybe, just maybe, we're wiping out an evil beholder cult who's PREYING ON THE LESS FORTUNATE. THAT'S HOW!" Man! Give me a break!

A thing Find irriatating is the fact that Radiant Heart sais you get a Private room, but where is it? I cannot find my *room*! Where is my *room*? I'll tell you. It don't exist! Those lying basterds (Pardon my Canadian Tongue) Don't give you squat! So, just for the hell of it, I went medieval on the Radiant Heart. Every Paladin, and knight in the Temple district met with a poor end that day. Shortly after that experiance, I was slain by an elf.....

1. YOU MUST GATHER YOUR PARTY BEFORE VENTURING FORTH!!!!!
It'll be a heroic deed to silence this idiotic mantra.
2. YOU ARE TOO FAR TO USE THIS!!!
The active areas of levers, etc. are too small, would it be a problem to command a character to go closer (by the game logic) if neccessary?
3. Dragons. I haven't found a satisfactory tactics to fight them so far. Let us be frank: all combat tactics published here and elsewhere are no combat tactics but results of a pure luck. I have tried everything.
4. Some consequences of the nice, plastic, 3D view: for example, if you kill a monster near the bad wall then you will not see his treasure and you will painfully search for it in the dark of the wall. Worse, if you kill a monster near a door, you can lose its treasure completely: the mouse will always catch the door and never the treasure.
5. Bad control of movement of your guys in some situations: They will blunder their way to places where they have nothing to search. Example: control room in the Planar Sphere.
6. Only a thief can remove traps. You can choose: either you hire a thief with his bad thac0, bad AC and even worse saving throws or you have to trigger almost all traps. It would be mended by a "Remove Traps" spell or at least a "Telekinesis" (remote manipulation of chests and levers) spell.

Your thief is "leaving shadows" even though you have 120%+ in both sneak skills, rings, boots armour, its pitch black and your standing right in the darkest corner of the room...

Another irritating thing: characters who are running around in panic have a tendency to go to the next room/hallway in dungeons waking up more baddies rather then getting to the nearest exit ASAP!

Characters who run around in panic, while all enemies have been slain already.
The fact that the characters who should be SECOND line members ALWAYS get to another area FIRST, possibly triggering enemies who give them a lesson in whoopass before your frontliners arrive. (this also counts when the game goes into a scripted event, and rearranges your party position).

I agree with Radek on the first two - bigger active zones for doors and levers would cut out those "you must gather your party" and "you must be closer" annoyances.
Better pathfinding abilities would be appreciated as well - it's pretty annoying in a place like Suldanessellar to be getting the upper hand in a nasty battle, only to find that some lightly armoured character "taking the long way around" has wandered into a batch of golems or somesuch.

Hacked godly powered characters that kill you in one spell or hit. If the game programmers want to keep you from doing something they should make a god intervene or something instead of using a stupid assassin named Gath or a elf wizard or a dude named Malcom Harpel and so on.. My character is supposed to be a child of the god of murder. Who the hell gave birth to these cheats?

Radek, the easiest and most consistent way to kill dragons is the wand of cloudkill. Stay out of sight and kill from afar. In fact, this is one of the most powerful items in the game, especially as it only cost a few thousand GP to recharge it. Especially useful against groups of enemies.
As for things I hate in the game.
1. There are no +4 longswords anywhere in the game. All +4 or greater weapons are two handed weapons except for the one short sword. As a fighter/thief I like to use a longsword and a shield to give me a decent AC and still keep my thief abilities (-10 was the best I managed, did get to -15 but lost my thief abilities in the underdark wearing Drow Full Plate +5).
2. The game crashing and having to be Ctrl-Alt-Del'd when your primary character gets imprisoned, this happened 4 times before I killed the 4 Gauth, 4 Beholder, Elder Eye group in the beholder dungeon.
3. Enemies completely ignoring the character that is standing right next to them beating seven shades of **** out of them and firing all their offensive spells at poor little Aerie who's over the other side of the room.
4. Radeks complaints 1, 2, 4 & 5
5. Not having enough slots to gather up all the crossbow bolts you can pick up in the underdark. At one point I had Minsc using a drow rapid fire crossbow, and I still had all of Keldorn's, Jaheira's, Minsc's and half of my slots filled with Kuo'toa bolts (over 400 bolts in bunches of 10 at one point).
6. (as an afterthought) The fact that constitution HP bonuses stop when level HP rises go to a fixed amount. Example, a fighter with 18 constitution going from 9th to 10th level only gets 3 extra HP rather than 7.

To dear Mr.Wookie.
I would like to remind you that this is BASED ON AD&D 2 EDITION RULES.IF YOU WANT TO PLAY LIKE THAT GO PLAY A SHOT-THEM-UP-GAME.
About weapons.in AD&D p&p wend you found a +1 weapon you became a very happy person, wend I play the more powerfull weapon I got was a Bow +2 and long sword +2, +3 and +4 weapons are VERY RARE a to fund a +5 weapon is like funding a Tana´ri prist of tyr.
The HP well you usually dont get the chance to get 10+ level in a AD&D p&p game unless you play for weeks in a row the higher I ever got was a 7 lv ranger.
What makes this game so good its that he uses the AD&D rules if It was the way around it would be like playing DIABLO.

1. I haven't played P&P AD&D for over 16 years, but for 3 years before that, a group of us used to play for 30+ hours over a weekend, every 2 or 3 weeks. I regularly played with characters of level 10+, my best was a fighter/cleric which I retired off when it was 13th & 14th level respectively. I don't have a set of the 2nd Edition rules anymore (in fact, 16 years ago might not even have been 2nd Edition), but there is nothing in the BG or BG2 manuals stating that constitution bonuses stop when hit die stop.
2. My party is currently carrying 6 weapons of +4 or higher, including 4 swords of which 3 are 2-handed swords. Seeing as a number of the creatures in the game can only be hit by +4 or higher weapons, if they were going to put that many +4 weapons in the game, it would have made sense to give a more even spread of weapons rather than having nearly all of them of the same type.
BTW, the last shoot-em-up I played was the original Doom, and I didn't like it (didn't need any brain cells to play).

As for Wookie's complaint#5 (too many crossbow bolts):
I agree, but I, instead, want to complain about the bag of holding. Drakron: how is the Bag of Holding supposed to work in PnP D&D? It seems really silly to me that I it can hold 50 suits of armor, or 50 crossbow bolts, and that size is absolutely irrelevant. If number of items is what is important, couldn't my character just bundle together 10 crossbow bolts and count it as one item in the bag? Or, alternative, a suit of armor has a bunch of pieces (normally), so why doesn't it count as more than one item? I hate the fact that storing any high number items (like potions) in the Bag of Holding is a waste of space.

Sorry for the angry post but most people just want the +5 weapon, 250 HP.
This game is about stategies that work not to go about like the space marine(Doom) killing everthing that stands in your way.
There a lot of magic weapons in Amn but Amn is the Trade nation so this is no suprise.
I play a elf F/M but because of I cant get a Elven Mail suit I go about like a figther most of the times, because of the multiclass I am not as powerful as true *Fighter* but still she can go head-to-toe with most of the enemies.
I going to put a thing that I was especting and didt show up.
WHY, OH WAY THERE IS NO KITS FOR MULTICLASS

I agree on that, from what I remember of AD&D, the bag of holding has a weight limit, not an item limit.

Stupid message delay...
The bag of holding have a weight limit, the one in the game is the one that can carry more.
The problems found are Bugs like many that are being found(hint: dont put arrows/bolts/bullets in there I read that cause problems)
About the HP, above 9 lv(10 for rogues) you only get a fix amount of hp constitution bonus cease.
