Ravager! Excellent! You take point, and scream in horrible agony if you find a trap.
Fas, you know that all extras die, unless your name happens to be Scotty and you have a think accent.
Shana can always join us on our crusade in the mind of an unknown Section 31 moderator.
God damn it, I make this post and you went ahead and posted that before it. >.<

Provides food for thought. Unfortunately SYM has adopted a policy of no-complaints at the present. Anything against the establishment should be formally conducted through PMs with the proper authorities
I do wonder why certain members are without moderator status all of a sudden.

In this case, the general SYM population should learn the reasons behind this. SYM has come through a lot of periods, but from what some of these posts I've been reading in these threads is saying is that two moderators were demoted because they disagreed with the common move from the others?

I don't think I will be joining any crusades for fear that I will be banned! Rav. I'm sorry to see that you and Luis are no longer mods. That is very sad to me!!

Personally, I think that is why Fas is able to post here. He's already left, but came back when this happened. Having the freedom to post this and a willingness to take in the throwback gives him a remarkable chance, compared to the rest of us.

The reasons for the 1500 post cap have been given by Buck in this thread. As for any other issues, it is not the place of the mods to discuss them in this thread. If you have questions, then surely the best way to get answers would be to simply PM someone that is in a position to help give an answer to those queries. There is no conspiracy or hidden agenda.

My point exactly. Look up 'forum' in the dictionary

Why don't we just delete SYM?
Sounds good to me . . .
Is that the honest reason you arent mods anymore, LA and Rav? you've both done good jobs, from what I've seen (Mainly LA in the OB forums, but I've poked on the Titan Quest before).
If this is true, I am very disappointed.

mr_sir, this is far past the post restriction in this thread, but the entire membership of SYM asking for information, and people like me, "historians", will be looking at this in the future and wondering "why the hell were two moderators demoted?"

Yet, this has been discussed with no input whatsoever from the members...and the two people opposing it were kicked out of moderatorship without a single warning...and we didn't break any rule whatsoever.

I don't want to speak for SYM moderators or Buck or anyone else, but I must point out that this is simply not true.

Any major decisions are ultimately made by Buck, not by the mods. This is the reason why I am not willing to discuss it as its not my place to do so. It has nothing to do with censoring complaints or trying to avoid answering.

Thank you, Dottie, for giving a response instead of dancing around the answer. May I request to know why they were demoted?

I'd like to know, as well!

You have to ask Buck to give you reasons, should you want them, but remember that dealings with moderators and bannings have rarely been publicly announced before so I don't know what response you will get.

I accept any decision made by Buck. He owns the site, his rules apply. I agree with that. I am just pointing out that there are certain things that perhaps the
community would like... and dare I say it,
should know about?

They were demoted because they were being "emotional." I didn't know you had to be a vulcan to be a mod.
Shouldn't mods have term limits so they don't get too used to their powers? Shouldn't the people elect mods? It goes like this, mods select people them to be mods. And that is a never ending process. If we don't have mods that think differently then what's the point of even having mods?
