I bet I would (both offended and surprised), to be honest. Nobody likes to become a point of discussion. Imagine a member had committed an offence and the next thing you know, sees his/her offence being put up in broad daylight right for others to see.Lady Dragonfly wrote: If the mod's private forum would suddenly become available for everybody to read, how many members might find themselves offended/surprised?
Speak Your Mind
''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price
This has dragged on long enough, Sytze. I have not reacted to your posts as if you're "out to get us." I've answered all of your questions to the best of my ability and provided you with the proper facts when you asked for them.
You should also keep in mind that there are twenty moderators and thousands of active members creating over 3000 posts a day on these forums, not to mention the 30,000+ people browsing through our walkthroughs and other content every single day. I'm just one man with a pile of responsibilities that stretch far beyond GameBanshee. It's not easy to keep track of everything, and I'd appreciate it if you could show a little more understanding.
Now, if you'd like to discuss this further, you're more than welcome to PM me. Thread closed.
When moderators step out of line, they hear from me. Some have received warnings, some have been demoted, and at least one has been outright banned. I've even posted a couple of threads in our private forum outlining the type of behavior I'd like to see from the moderating staff. The difference is that much of this happens in private, while the approach taken toward members is usually in the public eye simply because it has to be.Sytze wrote:Why the discrimination when approaching different people on this website due to their different status on the boards? Why?
