Hi
I've ran into three issues with this patch
1. The chinatown Lotus massage salon cannot be exited anymore. Both doors have Lightswitch interactive icons instead of door with green arrow
2. Tseng isn't selling the trinkets anymore, where did they go?
3. I'm not sure if this is even patch related, Feeding on Venus in her office after killing Igor will make her reappear behind the bar when you come back, still unconscious. Can't finish the Boris quest that way.
4. the Triad Johnny is a vampire now? Huh?

Does deleting those two files wipe out any progress I've made so far?
No, you can do it without risk.

Never heard that before, maybe your installation is messed up or did you continue an older saved game while you were in the Lotus Blossom?
2. Tseng isn't selling the trinkets anymore, where did they go?
If you mean the blood packs by this, that is intended. I don't think Tseng knows about vampires or would sell blood packs without a freezer...
3. I'm not sure if this is even patch related, Feeding on Venus in her office after killing Igor will make her reappear behind the bar when you come back, still unconscious. Can't finish the Boris quest that way.

Hmmm, more unusual stuff that hints to a buggy installation or an incorrectly continued saved game...

No, I started new after installing your patch.
Tseng sold a +1 melee damage occult item and now he does not anymore. I agree with the blood (didn't even notice it was there when played 1.2) but magic charms is something you might expect here, right? Anyways, where did it go?
as for the last point, the Triad Johnny is not supposed to be a vampire in 4.2? I thought you considered him "too easy" and buffed him up a bit.

You will get the magic items as rewards from Mr. Ox now which I found much more fitting than Tseng selling powerups and Mr. Ox giving money only
.

Johnny was never a vampire and his boss the Mandarin isn't one either. They just work for Ming and their dialogue does not fit for it to be otherwise.

When I tried feeding on Johnny it failed, even with blood buff. When I killed him he burned to nothing instead of just dropping dead. Gonna see if that happens again on my next run.

Question 1. Why at the end of VV's quest does she give you an autographed photo of her when Gary also offers it as a side quest (for you getting something for him)? It never made sense to me because when he offers it, you already have it. It then feels kind of strange when you're doing the quest for Gary to get something you already have (and then he gives it to you again). Would be better to have her give cash instead (or something different).
Question 2. What happened to the option of the dude in the morgue telling you to go to the Asylum to entice the chick on the balcony to come to the morgue (to replace Lily)? I've played a couple of times now and no matter how I answer him (after rescuing Lily) he never says to do that anymore. If one question was not answered right, it would have been nice to have the subject come up again, like when you went to him later to buy blood or something.

You are probably talking about the poster not the photo. I removed VV giving it to you in the unofficial patch because of exactly the reasons you state
.

This should still be possible if you didn't pay him off or used a special dialogue option on him. Of course you can't as a Nosferatu but I fixed that for 4.3

Hell, I didn't even notice that she gave the photo and Gary gives the poster. Meh, guess I have to pay more attention. Thanks for the clarification, dunno how long it would have taken me to notice that. It was bugging me for some time (and all the time you had it right). Now I know what my wife is doing when I say something to her and she goes, "duh". LOL
I guess I'll have to wait for someone to post exactly which answer got him to mention the girl (on the balcony) and then remember it (fat chance I'll remember it months later). I thought I had tried them all. It's like a hit or miss, then the dialog is over. A few times playing the game without getting him to say it and then I always go, "oh crap I should have saved". Heh heh. Would be nice if it wasn't so hit or miss. There is no clue as to which one to choose because you don't know what you're looking for at the time.

According to the dlg file this would be the following combination after Vandal complains that you freed Lily:
1. What can I do to set this straight?
2. Where should I look?

I did choose number 1. I then didn't get any response relating to her where I could reply "where should I look".

You're not playing a Nosferatu? Otherwise I wouldn't understand this...

No, actually as many times as I have played this game, I've never yet played it as a Nosferatu.
I'm going to have to go back to a saved game before this conversation and try it again. I do remember something about me choosing the option inquiring about what I could do to make it right because I figured that was the logical choice to bring up getting the girl. I was then expecting some kind of response about bringing him a replacement but never saw anything like that.

Reached Johnny today in a new game and he was not a vampire anymore. No idea what caused the problem in my last run... Lotus Blossom worked fine as well (in fact it already did the next day, gave up when the game crashed twice that night when I entered Lotus Blossom)
Only unresolved issue is Venus not waking up after being fed on in her office.

That is a known issue that can't be fixed to better not feed on quest related NPCs ever!

I just deleted the "sm_hub_1.ain" and "sm_hub_1.loc" and then when I started the game and went to Santa Monica, I still have the non-moving pedestrians. Any ideas?

No, but you could try the just released 4.3 patch instead
