<STRONG>Funny thing; most of these bios give the impression of describing high(er) level characters (great skill/expertise etc.), while they all start out at level 1. </STRONG>
Post your bio here - so people can mock you :-)
I have edited a bit in my bio, mostly to make it fit playing in Argyle.
What do you think?
(Okay - it might be a bit long, but that is no reason to thrown things at me )

I was born in the northeastern part of Firelight Forest; I have never known the precise location since I did not leave volentarely. My parents were unlikely citizen of that area since both of them were spell-casters residing among a people consisting mostly of hunters.
My father was a specialist of necromantic magic and my mother had a natural flair for divination magic.
My first clear memory is that of my father taking me into his lab wich was placed deep in the tower, which was called home. I had never been permitted to enter the lab; I was very excited because I also wanted to become a great wizard as my parents. Having just the day earlier celebrated my fourth birthday; my father told me that he had a surprise for me, now that I had gotten older.
My father and I entered the lab and I was awestruck - books; scrolls; spell components and much more dominated the lab. I was let towards small table surrounded by “Silkstone” and the stones known as “Tiger Eye Agate” as I have learnt while studying ancient tomes.
I was placed atop the table and told to keep very still, otherwise his father would not show him the surprise, he gave me an unicorn horn to hold with both my hands and point it towards my father. I remember a distinct feeling of fascination for the knowledge that this man, my father, possessed.
My father started casting complicated spells just as my mother entered the room.
She quickly realised what my father was doing and started casting spells also.
I remember feeling entertained by all the colours and noises of their spells.
Suddenly some kind of magical surge was created when my mother’s magic combined with that of my fathers magic which in turned reacted to the gemstones and the horn I was holding, and this caused me to be magically transported far away to farmlands surrounding Arberdan.
Here I was found by an old couple of childless farmers, I told them what had happened to me. They told me that I shouldn’t count of finding my way back to my parents and that I would not be safe, had my father survived the battle with my mother.
Instead these farmers took me with them and gave me a home. It took some time, but I finally found peace with that fact and started living as the child of these foster parents.
Here I live a peaceful life, living the live of a farmer until the faithful day they both died, almost simultaneously of old age. I was 19 years old at that time.
I had just buried my foster parents when an apparition of my mother sought me out.
She told me that my father had planed to use me as an ingredient in a spell that would suspend his mortality. And that interfering with his plans had cost my mother her life.
She also told me that the only way I would be able to stand against him when he would try again – and he would - were to become a potent mage so I would be able to fight and hopefully vanquish him, then she disappeared.
I gather what little belongings I could scavenge from the farm and travelled into city of Arberdan.
Here I drifted around, and did the odd job every now and again to sustain life.
One day I came in contact with an old Sage working in a college for wizards. He needed somebody to help him scripe scrolls and do other jobs, in return I’d be provided for while working for him – and even add to my reading and writing skills.
I immediately accepted his offer as it was better than shovel dung for a living and because this brought me nearer to the magical energies I had been without for so many years.
The sage in return for my work taught me a little about magic, especially the protective magic, and besides that he gave me access to tomes of arcane knowledge. This is where I learnt more of my fathers plan.
A couple of years later, at the age of 24 the sage had no more need of my services and we agreed on ending my employment.
Once again, alone on the street I headed to the nearest tavern – there I met some people, forming an adventures band. Seeing this as a splendid opportunity, I joined the band. This would be my ticket to better times. This would be my ticket to fulfil my destiny, to destroy the man that had brought me into this world. To save my own soul.
The name of this band of adventures? – It was, it is, the “Blades of The Banshee”

Basic plot of my bio.
Famous and highly respected adventurer Tamerlane gets run over by village idiot on horseback.
Loses all memory and thus also his skills from a bad case of amnesia.
Village idiot tells him that he was setting towards the country of Argyle.
Hero relunctantly sets off still suffering from amnesia with no skills what so ever.
Vows to return at a later date to exact revenge upon the village idiot.

You know how the saying goes, Xan. "There's more than one way to kill a mage." At least..., that's how I remember it.Originally posted by Xandax:

I've been playing an assassin too long.
<ic>
Should you're father return, he'll be very surprised to find you with new found allies! We'll slay the slimeball, and animate his corpse just to pincushion it again.
*aside* Can we do that, Connavar?

IC: @Nippy/Connavar- I mean, are we allowed as paladins to re-animate a corpse of a really evil guy just so we can make sure he's REALLY dead? Just wonderin' how the Order views that? Frowned upon?!? *sigh*

name: Hanal Greensville
race: half-elf
class: bard
alignment: chaotic good
deity: I don't know yet...there are some options though.
Hanal Greensville hails all the way from Hillsfar. He is a cheerful bard who was born in the city of Hillsfar on the coast of Moonsea. Hanal has lived most of his life in Hillsfar and as you might know, it isn't the most pleasant place to grow up in. With his father dead and mother -god knows where-, he has learned many different ways to survive all the dangers the city has to offer to a young half-elf. Despite the evil rulers of the city, he always does what he think is good, no matter what the officials might say. He is an able magician, a proficient fighter, quite a magician and on top of all, he sure has nimble fingers.
Word is that he's got himself into quarrel with Hillsfar's authorities. Apparently he's heading to the city of Neverwinter, far away in the north. If you are staying in Neverwinter and ever happen to spot a young and merry half-elf singing or entertaining the crowd in an inn or a tavern, you might just have spotted Hanal Greensville.
by the way, are we gonna play entirely in Argyle? As far as I've understood, it's not in the FR. If that's so, I'm not gonna spend very much time in there, I prefer FR. Can someone confirm this?

Centuries ago in England........It was an era of chivalry and magic. The evil Prince John unleashed an iron fist of tyranny upon the people. They called out for a champion.........one man answered that call. His name, was Robin Hood. Fearless in his quest for justice Robin Hood challenged the power of the high warlords. While protecting the helpless and the poor. Willing to face death for what he believed, along with the beautiful, lady warrior, Jaheira, the mighty Minsc, and the wise Keldorn. Robin Hood forged a legend that lives on today in............

Also the character you use in Argyle will most likely not be available to play outside Argyle due to the "Vault system" NwN is implementing (where you save your character in a vault to eleminate much treath from hacked or otherwise cheated characters).
I think Argyle will run their own vault.
For now - I feel that the characters placed on the website should be the characters we plan on playing in Argyle (of course this can change if most people want)
And yes - Argyle is not FR-realms, it is a "realm" of it's own (IIRC).
