What sort of accident did your friend have? And how often have you gone paragliding? I'll check back for answers, later today.</STRONG>
OK, then it's straight gliding, with a paraglider (ie looks like a big parachute) I'm doing. I have only had the license for 2 years, so I haven't been doing it a lot. I chose it because it was the safest and easiest flying sport I could find. (I've been doing skydiving and hanggliding earlier. I also have a half pilot's licese - ran out of money because i started studying)
My friend got into starting trouble and hit the rock with high speed. He totally crushed one foot, so he will not be able to move the foot anymore, and he his leg will be considerably shorter, so his will use an extention device for a year of so.

Just fine

It's just so bl**dy cold here. It's not fair - you are going towards summer, I'm going towards a long and dark winter.

@Harry: I'll have to get a "summer house" at NZ - would be ideal to spend the Nov-Feb there
I'm off now, see you later

Sounds terrible, @CE. I'm sorry to hear it. Perhaps longterm surgical procedures are an option?
In any case, I've considered hang-gliding (I think that's the term I was searching for, last night) as a sport, but never went in for it. Maybe I'll mention para-gliding to my wife. Likely, she'll just laugh.

Morning, folks. If you're here, say something, and that includes all ye lurkers hiding in the shadows.

well, i went on my usual bender this weekend. so things were pretty good. last night we went to three different parties.
just as we were going to leave the last one, someone announced that the stripper was there. obviously we were much impressed and had no clue that this was even intended for the night. so we sat down to get a good view and stayed for a bit longer.

Not too bad. I'm kicking back, reading a magazine.
Kind of quiet here tonight, isn't it?

Several reasons. I was forced to sit through a business meeting at church when it turned out I wasn't needed in there at all. I spent the day at my friend Josh's house today, forgetting that I still needed to finish up the speech I have to give tomorrow morning. I also managed to hurt my feet trying to play football with my friend Josh and some of his friends.
