Only in this sort of freestyle roleplay, cuz I dont have the time or attention span to stick with it.
But if I can just add color, but not actually get involved in making up storyline, its my duty as the dirty, beer-swilling dwarf I know I am.

I believe Magus and Ubik have brought up a valid point. I am going to keep my level around 17. The main reason for this is I don't know enough about AD&D rules. This is not to say we have to follow their rules but we need rules.
As for a plot we needed to come up with one so people can decide which group and what they will be.That way we have some idea.
And (As bad as I hate to say this) we need to decide who is going to be the leaders of both groups. I vote for Ubik for the bad and Drakron for the good. Both are online most of the time and that means a lot.(I take myself out of the leadership role. I don't know enough to be a leader.)

I second Weasel's vote. My conjurer will be level 18, because I can't do without level 9 spells
As for plot...I can't speak for everyone, so I'll speak for my own character. I want the Planar Sphere as my hideout. Any other mages can bunk with me as *associates* if they like. Aerie will be my partner, and I will be neutral good alignment. I have connections with the Cowled Wizards, and with Aran of the Shadow Thieves. That sound alright?

This is obsene, letting that poor topic drop in the second page...
Weasel, you dirty scum, try to come up with a good story background, and maybe I won't have you castrated the very moment we encounter in the story (actually, are you going to come in our party? The evil party? But, you are so kind and tender, what are you doing with the baddies? Ok, that would be reeeeaaaaly fun

btw this is a level 18 wicked necromancer (I have some custom spells too - nothing too powerfull, just some handy spells for the hard times
)I am carrying my own "Ridiculus staff" (1d6+4, casts death spell 3 times a day, grants invisibility when wielded and protects from confusion, lvl drain and - most of all - humiliation)
wearing my Mijage Robe (reduces spellcasting time by 5, AC+2, +2 to all saving throws and immune to foolishnes
)
Also I am wearing some nice Italian made leather boots, also italian leather gloves and a fancy american hat. Th-th-th-th-th-that's all folks
