It was a Macintosh computer. What do you expect? It doesnt help that I didnt take any computer classes in high school. Whats bad is, I still have no idea what I did. I was just randomly fooling around with random things in the computer. Maybe that wasnt the best idea, now that I think about it..... :D

Well if you want to go to Uni, its harsh. They rank you by which score you get. Score is determined by 50% school grade (often moderated by Curriculum Council) and 50% exam score. And they rank you from 100 to 0. To get into medical school you need to get a score above 99.97. So only top 0.3% get into that stream. Very competitive. Once you past that hurdle, things slow down considerably :D

Well must run off now. As Mah would say, time to stare at the pretty Uni girls, in the adjacent block. ;)

Yeah. Thats pretty harsh. Do you want to go to a medical school?

I see by your profile you are the same age as I. So if things are the same in both countries, this would be your last year of high school, right? Or are even the general curriculums different?

My last year of high school was a giant rush to get to certain colleges. I decided that I really didnt care. So while everyone else was in a panic to get to high level schools like Columbia, Harvard, Tufts, Cornell, or Brown, I decided, all I wanted was a college education and degree. So I applied to the local place. Good school, not expensive and rather comfortable. It was the lazy and inexpensive way to go, but I dont mind. Besides, my gpa (grade point average) wasnt that high. It was around 2.95 or something like that. I would average a B to a B- mostly because of my laziness and lack of caring. But its all good.

Well I guess if you are going to decide to attend class over staying here at the tavern, then see you later, Tam. :D

I guess that leaves BS and I.

Nice to see you here, AC. I thought you went off to bed. Well done with the bar. It seemed to be the popular place today.

Well, are you still in Minnesota, or are you back in Mizzou?

Leave for home tomarrow. Kinda glad that the Bar faded - all those guys were too pushy when I was the only bar wench. I should have hired some help... :D

I wonder who would have jumped at the oppertunity. Not me, though. Im too lazy. I enjoy being a spectator. :D

I recall you saying something about tooth surgery on Monday. Was that yesterday or is it next week?

I never remember anything... It's clear, though. I just have to call him up and tell him the situation... But, I could kick myself for forgetting. :o

I better go. A lot to do tomarrow ya know. :)

@mcbane,

18 in 1985!!!! Man, that is the worst. I couldn't imagine going to a college party and watching chics in leg warmers dance to the thompson twins. Ugh, it's revolting to think about. Thank goodness for you, drugs were just as potent then as they were in the 60s and 90's. Think about it, YOU could still be listening to the Culture Club.

There were a few gems in the 80's. I still listen to Howard Jones, his music still has that 80's flair but he was a good songwriter. I also dig Joe Jackson but he's goes back to the 70's as well.

I had parachute pants man. You must have had horrible flashbacks the first time you watched the wedding singer.
I have to agree with Ned, the 80s were dodgy. I'm the same age as Ty and Tamerlane, but whenever I see the videoclips/movies and hear the music from the 80s I cringe, knowing I grew up in those years...

And, surprisingly, Bloodstalker, Tybaltus, and Aqua-Chan lead the post count in this thread, dusting the expected Ode and Georgi duo….
Actually, Eerhardt and I figured out that the combined Rolling Thunder posts have also beaten Goody, though you'd have to ask Eerhardt for specifics. Just as well we keep moving from thread to thread...

I'm so ashamed... :o I really thought we were going to get it, too... :( ;)

Ty, I've said this before. In spite of the fact you inhabit tavern threads, you're not a SLURR. It is a requirement of SLURRing that one be a SLURR in the first place, and you have not yet applied for membership, if indeed you ever will.

LMAO, your not the only ones.

So you guys did beat Goody then, I remember leaving a conversation when you guys were doing the maths. Good for you guys ;)
