Seeya Eerhardt.

@Mysty-I want to hear all about it when you get it, I'm thinking of buying it but it'd mean there would be other things I'd have to put off buying.
So let me know if it's up to BG2s standards, and that goes for you too Eerhardt. :)
Elven rangers in particular are of interest...Image

*settles down with shine*

hi Ode :)

Sure. I'll get you an update on my opinion asap.

I'm more into half-elven rangers ... full elf is just a bit too ... elvish?

Think it's surely less long than BG2.

I like elves, though half-elves are undoubtedly the next best race. Elvish is good.

I'm particularly interested in how they implement the familiars this time around, I thought the BG2 alignment-based system was just awful.
I'd love to see what familiars rangers/druids get this time around... I'm after some sort of falcon or somesuch.

EDIT-It;s off to bed for me, I'm afraid. Seeya whenever Mysty. *hug*

Once again, RL is interfering ... :(

I'm very interested in the familiars too. My first go will be with a ranger (who would have guessed :p ) and I'm really thrilled to finally get a familiar too. No idea what I'd like ... probably stick with the good old wolf. :)

*leaves a hug for Ode*

Nighty :)

** makes his way up the stairs ** I'm just catching up on SYM events during the weekend ;) - morning, Ode and Tam ** pours 3 mugs of C.C.B. and hands one to Ode and Tam each, then takes a drink from his mug ** So, how're you guys today?

I'm quite good (nothing like waking up to a good hug), but I think Tammy's gone for a while.
**Grabs his mug of C.C.B. and starts SLURRing**

Well, it's good to hear that you're quite good :D ** makes his C.C.B. Irish and takes another drink ** still haven't got NWN yet... guess it'll have to wait till this Saturday :o . I'm kicking some Zerg and Protoss' butt in the meantime and reading some Terry Pratchett (my sister gave me Thief of Time and the Fifth Elephant for a birthday gift, wonder where she got that idea :D )

Man, I haven't played Starcraft in ages. I had a good weekend, my best friend came aroundImage and we watched the funniest movie, it's an extremely strange Japanese film called The Weatherwoman. At least you'll be getting NWN soon.
I haven't read Thief of Time yet, but The 5th Elephant was pretty good IIRC.

LOL@the smiley, Ode ;) . I hadn't played it for a long time either, but since I never finished Broodwar, I thought I'd blow the dust off its cover (BTW, did you ever finish the original? - man, that last mission was hard). What made Starcraft different from the other RTS's from its time is the strong storyline, besides the addictive gameplay. The Weatherwoman, hey ;) ? ** finishes his mug and pours himself a pint of purple beer ** I find it a bit hard to keep track of the story in Thief of Time, but I'll manage, once I've read more (you have to remember, it's my first Terry Pratchett ;) )

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, after all. ;) I sort of got bored after the Zerg missions, truth be told. :o
Have you seen The Weatherwoman? It's sooo funny, and it's just the weirdest movie I've ever seen, my friend just sat there watching it and occasionally saying "This is really weird." over and over. It really is incredibly strange, but it's not predictably strange, so you just have to sit back and accept everything that happens.
First Pratchett, eh? My first was Soul Music, hope you like Pratchett's style. ;)

Yeah, after hearing so many good things about Pratchett, I mentioned him several times at home, hence my sister's birthday gift  . Reading Thief of Time sparked a memory and I dug up some really old PC mags and, sure enough, there was a game called "Discworld" in it, based on Pratchett's work. I doubt it matches up to the books, though (judging from the screenshots, it looked more like a Day of the Tentacle rip-off). Haven't seen The Weatherwoman yet, but it seems I already have an overladen agenda nowadays (Broodwar, NWN, Warcraft III and I have yet to finish Myst III Exile and read Pratchett's books :D ) ** SLURRs some purple beer **

Hiya mates !

How's business ? I've been VERY busy the last few days, and I hope to actually USE my pool next weekend :D ;) .

Did I miss something important ?

Well, I've already mentioned my current state of affairs (work is too much of a RL-thing too mention here - the horror, the horror :D , but in case you're interested anyway: business is at an all-time low here :o ). I don't think you missed anything important over the weekend, but I'm still skimming through some of the threads myself, so anyone is free to correct me, if I'm wrong. BTW, isn't Georgi coming back today? ** orders Dusty to refill his pint **

Yep, Georgeous is back today, and no, you didn't really miss anything important @Beldin.

The Discworld games focus on Rincewind as the main character, in one of them he has to run a PR campaign to get Death to return to work harvesting the souls of the dead, and I forget what the other one's about.

@Beldin-So the pool's finished then?

EDIT-Actually, the only good sites I can find on The Weatherwoman are in Japanese and German, so perhaps it'd be easier if you just did a search on it yourselves. :)

@Eerhardt: Luck Ba***d ...(RL-) work is at an absolute HIGH here....I can't really take the time to post, but I do it anyway - but I HAVE to cut back for the time being.. :(

But No WORRIES,
[voice=austrian accent]"I'll be back" [/voice]

@Ode: Yep - we're nearly done.... :D :D :D

Dragma about the work situation, @Beldin. The pool looks pretty sweet though, is that a bar in the corner?
Let me know how the pool party goes. :D And what your friends think of ice bongs.

I don't think that German is too much a problem for Beldin and me ;) . The Internet Movie Database did give a general idea of it, though ;) . @Beldin: the pool's looking great, mate. As to work: true :D , but the only problem is, that I risk getting laid off, if this goes on for too long and frankly, the holidays aren't looking all that promising... :( ** takes a drink from his purple beer **
