Yes, we'll try to incorporate more "playing of other characters" in this story than in Vengeance of the Heart and other threads, where characters were more "locked," and tampering with others' characters was the exception rather than the rule. That's the idea, anyway. We'll see how it works. I seem to remember there was a bit more freedom to write others' characters in Athkatla II, but maybe my view is skewed because I was the DM, and I basically did whatever I wanted. :D Might want to ask CM and Xandax if you want an unbiased opinion.

As for character level...I believe I already clarified that. :p Check the Lost Souls thread if you haven't already. It says that character level should be Throne of Bhaalish, or around level 20, maybe a little higher. Also, from now on let's move all discussion of the upcoming story to the Lost Souls thread.

Anything else...well I'll clarify things as they come to mind, or as questions are asked. :)

BTW, I misnamed the thread. :p It's supposed to be the Lost Souls Discussion Thread, but instead it just says Lost Souls. I guess I'll call the actual story the Lost Souls Story Thread when the time comes.
Lost Souls: A bereft lover. A masterless familiar. Friends gone their separate ways. Time marches on, and destiny heralds the meeting of comrades old and new. Can they find what they're seeking? Or will the search bring them only more pain?

You're going to have to talk to Magus about it. I don't think we've established everyone just yet. Anyway, check out what's been written already, plus the discussion thread, and send Magus a PM.

@corsair: Sorry to hear that. But yes, I wouldn't recommend joining unless you have the time and motivation to make the committment. As far starting your own...that's even worse. :p It's far easier to join a story that's already got some momentum going than to start your own.

I guess you might say writing these stories is a lot of work. But I think the rewards are worth the effort, obviously, or I wouldn't be doing it. :)
