We feel that the mere fact of Radonthugonia's existence proves that the UN is an ineffectual puppet organization with no real power.

The Empire of Zeddicus surprised everyone as they leap out of nowhere to take the lead
The Empire of Tropicalis is still in the top 5, therefor the Empire says they are still pleased with their status
I also want to congratulate VoodooDaliania's induction into the UN. Well done.
Even though I dont agree with all the liberal ideals of your country
EDIT-I see due to an very slow response Voodoo beat me to the poll....hrmmm...

The Borderlands of Orryana
"Motto rhymes with Lotto. Cool!!"
UN Category: Anarchy
Civil Rights: Superb
Economy: Thriving
Political Freedoms: Superb
Location: SYM
The Borderlands of Orryana is a tiny, socially progressive nation, renowned for its absence of drug laws. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 5 million live in a state of perpetual fear, as a complete breakdown of social order has led to the rise of order through biker gangs.
The small, pro-business government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Commerce, and Religion & Spirituality. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 2%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Trout Farming, Cheese Exports, and Retail industries.
Crime is a major problem, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Orryana's national animal is the walking stick and its currency is the kontant.

The Continuing Evolution of Kayland
The Rogue Nation of Kayland
"Quando Omni Flunkus Moritati"
UN Category: Moralistic Democracy
Civil Rights: Some Economy: Good Political Freedoms: Below Average
Location: SYM
The Rogue Nation of Kayland is a large, safe nation, notable for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed population of 32 million are highly moralistic and fiercely conservative, in the sense that they tend to believe most things should be outlawed. People who have good jobs and work quietly at them are lauded; others are viewed with suspicion.
The enormous government juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Religion & Spirituality. The average income tax rate is 30%, but much higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Automobile Manufacturing industry, followed by Beef-Based Agriculture and Pizza Delivery.
The government is cutting back on the number of political prisoners executed each year, scientists regularly clone human beings for research purposes, punitive tariffs protect local industry, and the tenet of free speech is held dear. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is well under control, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Kayland's national animal is the frog, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the token.
We're back to a Moralistic Democracy again.

VoodooDaliania Awash With Red-Rimmed Eyes
Government Acts
The Issue
National marijuana consumption has hit an all-time high, with alarming results, a new poll has found.
The Debate
"My factory's productivity is down ten percent since marijuana was decriminalized," complains employer Violet du Pont. "And the number of thefts from the candy machine is off the scale. This so-called 'pot' needs to be banned in all public places. Let the junkies do what they want at home, but not in my workplace."
[Accept]
"Whoa, dude, no need to get, like, you know," says Free Your Mind campaigner Bill Hamilton, from his parents' basement. "This is, like, a personal choice issue, you know. It's like... whoa, just back off what I want to do with my own body. Don't let the fascists win, man. There are some hot new eckies coming in soon, they should be legal too."
This is the position your government is preparing to adopt.
The Government Position
The government has indicated its intention to follow the recommendations of Option 2.
The Resolution At Vote
The following resolution is being debated by the UN. If it passes, it will immediately take effect in all UN member nations.

LMAO This is a gem, especially coming from a Corporate Police State.
The Issue
Cheap, foreign-made cars are becoming increasingly popular, causing concern in Tamerlane's automobile manufacturing industry.
The Debate
"Unless this government does something, Tamerlane won't have an auto industry for much longer," says auto industry union boss Miranda Longfellow, in a rare public appearance alongside management. "These foreign companies employ people for a few Tammys a day. The only way to level the playing field is to raise tariffs. The government would make more money, too, so it's win-win."
This is the position your government is preparing to adopt.
"For once, I agree with my grubby colleague here," says General Chassis CEO Billy Christmas. "Although I have to say, tariffs aren't the only answer. A more effective solution would be to abolish minimum wage laws. Now that would level the playing field. And we'd be able to employ more--argh, let go of my throat!"
[Accept]
"I think we need to face facts," says noted economist and chat-show regular Thomas McGuffin. "We live in a global economy now, and automobile manufacturing just isn't Tamerlane's strong suit. There's no point taking money from taxpayers in order to line the pockets of a few greedy workers and corrupt managers in a doomed industry. Let the market takes its--argh, let go of my throat!"
[Accept]
The Government Position
The government has indicated its intention to follow the recommendations of Option 1.
Strangulation, a nasty yet effectiv e way to stifle the opposition.
