ROFL, yep, that'd be a good one!
My connection seems really slow these days too, and I've got a 256kb DSL line
Found it. One of my favourite songs....
Queensryche, Silent Lucidity
Hush now, don't you cry.
Wipe away the teadrop from your eye.
You're lying safe in bed.
It was all a bad dream spinning in your head.
Your mind tricked you to feel the pain of someone close to
you leaving the game of life.
So here it is, another chance.
Wide awake you face the day.
Your dream is over... or has it just begun?
There's a place I like to hide.
A doorway that I run through in the night.
Relax child, you were there but only didn't realize it and
you were scared.
It's a place where you will learn to face your fears,
retrace the years and ride the whims of your mind.
Commanding in another world.
Suddenly, you hear and see this magic new dimension.
I - will be watching over you
I - am gonna help you see it through.
I - will protect you in the night.
I - am smiling next to you...
... In Silent Lucidity
If you open your mind for me you won't rely on open eyes to
see.
The walls you built within come tumbling down,
and a new world will begin.
Living twice at once you learn you're safe from pain in the
dream domain.
A soul set free to fly, a round trip journey in your head.
Master of illusion,
can you realize your dream's alive,
you can be the guide but...

Wow... I never knew it was such a beautiful song. I have a hard time understanding it when sung, and have never seen the words. It's rather beautiful and sad at the same time.
(Almost like the "Blues"
)

Yeah, it's a bit hard to understand (but most songs are at times), and when you listen to it, sad and comforting at the same time. I almost wonder what the inspiration for it was...

Well, It is filled with metaphore, the lucid dream being out front. very well written. I suppose like all great poetry, it brings something unique to each reader...That is what I love best about music, is lyrics well written.
Of course, a mean guitar is also required.. ![Big Grin :D](./images/smilies/)

You a Hendrix fan then?
It's odd, I seem to have a liking to really sad music like that...
Queen - who wants to live forever
Guns 'n' Roses - November Rain
Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms
Moby - Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad
Metallica - Nothing Else Matters
Queensryche - Silent Lucidity
Creed - With Arms Wide Open
What's strange is I often find myself smiling for no apparent reason. I'm normally a very happy person

That is wild.. We seem to have very similar taste in tunes..
I love Creed: " My own Prison"
I'm a huge Hendrix fan..In fact I'm listening to "The Watch Tower" now.
The Metalica song you mentioned is one of My faves as is
"Telegraph Road" Dire Straits..
I could go on and on, but I'm too sleepy to think..Oh well, as usual, the bottle is empty, and the company's been great, but night wears on , and I must call it a day..
Night Flibble *HUG* See you later ![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/)

Dang, Flibbs! Youve got a great taste in music, my friend!

Let the songs play.
Jimi Hendrix is a one hit wonder, you know. He only charted once on the billboards. Thats right. Even Haysi Fantasee has more hits then Jimi Hendrix.

Aaah...that reminds me - Something at the back of my memory, annoying me for ages: What is the other queen song out of Highlander, apart from that and a Kind of Magic (IIRC?)

Sorry. But Ive done my research and he only hit the top 70 on the billboards once. Dont recall which song though. But like so many other artists (ie Talking Heads, Bauhaus, Coctaou Twins, Juno Reactor), the billboard chart really didnt implicate what kind of an impact he made on music, itself.
