Here's another riddle, to keep you entertained:

Think of words ending in "-gry". "Angry" and "hungry" are two of them. There are only three words in the English language. What is the third word? The word is something that everyone uses every day. If you have listened carefully, I have already told you what it is.

TAO, wrong answer on the riddle. And your one was already posted before. Is the answer language?

That is correct. I'm sorry for the double posting. I worked myself reading into this thread from the first post, and also worked my way from the last one, backwards. I guess I had already checked all the pages, though left perhaps a few gaps, right in the core. That's an anoying thing with threads that have as many pages as this one: you can only skip maximal 3 pages and cannot just select the page you want to go to. (pushing on an arrow button so that all the options get scrolled down, like when picking a color for your text type). This could perhaps be an improvement idea for the Gamebanshee Staff to think about.

I don't know the answer yet to your riddle. Though please wait with posting it, perhaps I will suddenly get it. Or others will.

Here's another riddle. I hope that this one didn't got posted before. If it did, then I will immediately start reading through this whole thread from page 1 to 31:

What are the next 3 letters in this riddle?
o t t f f s s _ _ _ ?

Waiting for Nar to answer my riddle. :D

I don't blame you about reading back, I'd probably do the same. You can get the pages showing 40 posts instead of 20, that might help.

As for your riddle, that's one I posted personally, so I'll answer otherwise someone will just look back until they find it. The answer- e,n,t. :D

Just be glad these riddles aren't on a spam thread... that would be a lot of looking back :p

I'm not quite sure if this is it, but we have a similar joke in Polish (but not wife and husband but father and daughter). Is it about the hole in tights? When she was going out it was on her left leg, when she came back it was on her right leg (or the other way around).

*sigh*

Haven't I said it before? As soon as Nar sees the riddle... riddle solved.

Well done. You beat everyone to the answer again :p

i have an idea, what if we make Nar promise not to solve riddles until at least five other people have tried?

by TheAmazingOopah
Yeah, making him stop answering *our* riddles, the cold turkey way. That will teach him making us look like idiots!

But really: does Nar already know all the riddles, or is he just really good on the riddles niveau? In the latter case, he should make a job out of it, being... professionally... really good, at... solving riddles... and... stuff...

Something.

Name a riddle-solving job. Other than quiz-shows :p .

Everyone had long enough to solve my riddle before Nar turned up and solved it.. in 5 seconds  :D

Anyone want to make a bet if he can keep that up?

That riddle about the wife going to the cinema is not a real riddle... since we don't know what the husband had seen before she left and what he saw when she returned so we can't compare, it could be anything. So basically the answer "he guessed it by something she was wearing" is the correct answer :o

No-legs lay on one-leg,
Two-legs sat nearby on three-legs,
Four-legs got some.

I really can't figure this one... chairs and tables or animals with 2/4 legs come to mind but I can't get any nearer :D

And I can't figure it... :( We're doomed!

Until Oopah comes back and tells us what the solution is :D

A fish is on a one legged table. A man sitting on a three legged chair is eating it. He gives some to his (four legged) cat.

Gimme a riddle anyday of the week, I just don't visit here often enough to answer them in time.

I'll try to resist the urge to 'call' Nar in future :D

Yes, you're probably right. My last riddle was a bit more ambiguos than most, but it was still on the riddle website I use. Regardless, I'll try to avoid such riddles in future :)

@dj venom, please post answers in black. Don't want to spoil it for people :)

You look forward to my next riddle? Ah..okay.. that's enough to get me looking for a new one :D

Here you are:

Be you ever so quick, with vision keen, by your eyes, we are never seen. Unless perchance it should come to pass, you see our reflection in a looking glass.

What are we?

Enjoy :)
