Perhaps it was a blessing in disguise coz I could start an rewrite it in a better way. How does one make a critique and make it sound nice? I think I'd better ask fable a help for this.

Not really...I've had some really NICE Mondays over the years .... but all of them were in my holidays... ...

I have moral objections to Mondays, though when on holidays all days tend to be much the same to my mind.
