Nippy belted out a deep belly laugh at Bloodstalkers last comment.
"Prayer? I'll need a damn avatar to beat this thing!" Nippy grinned and cast Draw Upon Holy Might, the spell complete, he drew Fire and Ice and circled the other way around Bloodstalker, coming into the opposite side to him.
"Here goes nothing! For Torm I strike this blow!" Nippy rushed in and slashed his two katana down upon the flank of the beast, repeatedly slashing at one point, trying to crack open the hide.
Little progress was made and he drew back, drawing deep breath and trying to at least see how Bloodstalker was doing...

Dragon Wench's eyelashes fluttered open, and she discovered with real surprise that Yshania was carrying her over one shoulder.
"I'm okay now," she said to her friend, as she allowed herself to slide to the ground.
Yshania, glanced at her somewhat sceptically. "Are you sure, you don't seem very well."
Dragon Wench averted her gaze, and looked towards a landscape that was now obscured by smoke and chaos. Struggling against the nausea that still threatened to overwhelm her, she shook her head.
"It doesn't really matter how I feel, there are dragons to fight, and as much as I might want to, I can't hide or run away.....I've never before fled from battle....this would not be a good time to begin."
At that, despite her swimming head and unsettled stomach, she scanned the scene before them and once more reviewed the spells that might affect the dracolich. After a moment, she chanted the words to "Minute Meteors," and when the glowing orbs appeared in her hands she hurled them at the snorting, angry beast. A sizzling sound burst through the air and the accompanying stench of burning flesh caused Dragon Wench's head to reel once more; with a groan she clutched her abdomen and sagged to the ground.

Flanders froze at the chilling haunt of Uther's hollow voice. Truly, he was unprepared to deal with her biddings. He frantically began constructing mental towers to keep her out.
She swatted them away like pillows.
I'm relieved you finally left the door open for me. It was getting lonely being rejected night after night. , Uther playfully jested. Sorry to have to fill you in about not being alone on the surface this afternoon, however, I couldn't have you up there incinerating yourself. You almost pulled it off on your own though.
Is that so. Flanders asked, seemingly rhetorical, as her presence in the battle logically dictated his success.
Uther giggled, confident she had full grasp over her most prized subject. Indeed, yet in so short a time you realize you're going to grant us all the ability to scoff at the sun. I know you can taste the prize and I sense your hunger.
"I'll not fuel your return!!!", Flanders shouted.
"You shall be its' fire!!", Uther roared, and for the first time Flanders got to glimpse an apparition of the vampire queen. He blinked once, twice, to dispel the visage and yet it hovered before him, grinning.
He had only seen her previously in his mind; the view of the projected image terrified him. He turned and fled, back towards the surface hoping a few rays of sunlight remained.
He would not fuel her return.

Mysteria looked wondering at Aegis, he was even tougher than she had thought, brushing her aid aside and firing yet another arrow/spear, this time at the female dragon chasing Farscape. Well, she didn't want to have prepared the help for nothing and determedly stepped up to Aegis and passed the cloth over his face while he protested, "I'm fine, don't..."
Giving him a big grin, seeing that the wound now looked less raw, she said, "I think you're even finer now." and turned to face the Dracolich. The female dragon was too far away for her arrows and Nippy and Bloodstalker were doing a good job on the male one, but the Dracolich, that d*** undead creature.
For a moment, she almost lost control and felt her magic rise, but then only cool, calm hate was left. Drawing one of her blessed arrow, she started pestering the Dracolich with them, momentarily drawing its attention from Dragon Wench and Yshania, so they could get a little respite....

The dark grains of a tree pressed against Viv’s forehead and she stared intently at the tiny fissures running throughout the trunk.
Why am I pressed against a tree?
She felt the gritty texture rub her palms as she pushed herself back, and blinking she tried to remember what had happened. Following the others up, she remembered the darkness, turning back to see if Flamey had come, and then big shapes….
And then running in fear, unable to combat the frightful feeling that seemed to devour her mind.
She had fell to dragon fear.
Let her companions down, companions who now may not even be alive! Because of her weakness, her lack of resistance, she had left them to battle alone.
With eyes now shining in the dark she stumbled back from the tree, turning to see the shapes of at least some of her friends a few feet off, battling huge things that towered in the sky.
“We’ll just see about this” she muttered while rolling her sleeves and casting ‘Simulacrum’

"C'mon, Shread me! Tear me in half you big git!" Farscape shouted, smiling like an idiot.
He stood, arms wide, he walked through the carnage of the shattered forest.
"Whats the matter? Never seen a crazy paladin?"
He continued forward, scoffing the dragon.
"Big dragon *****, thinking you can take me? Huh? C'mon you loug." He laughed, drawing ever closer to his opponent.
"You are insane manling." Chuckled the beast. Obviously amused at the sight of a lone human walking directly towards her. "It is a shame that a pathetic creature like you could fell my mate"
"Really, do you think so?" He was now within 5 yards of the creature. "Then eat me, right NOW" ANd he lunged forward, rolling beneath the plunging jaws. Grin gone, replaced by a look of grim determination. Dropping his axe, he grasped the hild of Redeemer in both hands, and drove upwards with all his might, slicing though scale and muscle, parting the dragons ribs.
"AHHH, tricky manling, but useless" She rose to her hind legs, leaving Farscape dangling by his blade in the middle of her chest.
"Redeemer, BOLT OF GLORY" He shouted at the top of his lungs. The powerful spell against evil forces erupted deep in the bowels of the Shadow Dragon, exploding from the inside out. Farscape was once more thrown to the ground, and watched as holy fire consumed the dragon from the inside out. Consumed utterly in pain, the shadow beast writhed in agony, jaws opening and closing in futile attempts to claw him, even the shadow dragon breath could not reach. Taking Redeemer again, he strode purposely towards the dragons head.
"Know this before you die. You are weak, an abomination to kind"
"I cannot believe this. Defeated by one man..."
"No, you have been defeated by many, I am only the messenger. Fear the Dark Flames!" And he drove Redeemer through the unprotected eye socket and twisted viciously. The dragons movements stopped abruptly. Grabbing the axe Redemption from the ground, Farscape made his way back to the keep, limping noticebly. The forest where the beast fell would never regrow the trees it had lost.

Aegis' head echoed with the loud trumpeting noise of the dying dragon. She had been felled, somehow. He knew his talents would be needed elsewhere at this point. His face was tingling now, more than likely because of the healing slave Mysteria had applied. He turned towards the Dracolich, another arrow, his last, and prepped it to fire towards the dragon. He took a breath, and loosed the arrow.

Looking up from her position on the ground, Dragon Wench saw Mysteria and Aegis firing arrows at the dracolich, and she smiled gratefully at them.
Realising that she could still cast spells while seated, she focused inwards once more, and released a slew of magic missiles. Shimmering purplish sparks sped towards the beast and embedded themselves deep within the dragon's brittle carapace.
The dragon, now experiencing the onslaught of various missiles, screamed in rage and pain, and slitting its eyes at it's puny foes, let out another cloud of poisonous vapour.
The group of fighters gagged, and the dracolich, taking advantage in this momentary reprieve began a dry, throaty chant..... The warriors heard the unmistakable phrases that composed the spell, "Time Stop."

Mysteria reeled back as the acid hit her and Fang let out a yelp. She heard the ominous incantations of the dracolich sounding in the air and tried get as far away as possible, but froze in mid stride...
Trying desperately to move, she watched in horror as the Dracolich continued his spells and the many holes they had already ripped into his unholy hide closed up....

Knowing that pets and magic users were generally the first target following a Time Stop, Yshania decided to go for numbers. A brief intricate movement of her hands, a soft, whispered incantation, and a Woodland Nymph stood before her, seconds later another. The Nymphs immediately cast barkskin on themselves before turning their attention towards the dracolich. Meanwhile, Yshania continued to summon...two greater fire elementals now sped towards the chanting dracolich. A moment later, a voice boomed "who calls Chan? Prince of Air" The elemental prince stood for a second, drawing admiring glances to his glory, his globe of blades humming, and appearing already bloodied as they caught the red of the dying sun...Yshania guessed he would be the first victim.....

The Dragon reared it's mighty head. It sensed it's mate destruction and it roared out, whipping itself to a horrific frenzy. It flashed it's great wings and lifted it's chest off the ground. Nippy rolled out of the way of the Wing Buffet before any damage was caused but it was a close call. Bloodstalker rushed in and slammed down his sword causing major damage but the dragon shrugged it off and flared out a mighty roar, followed by some more of it's evil breath. It swang around and tried to attack Bloodstalker again, but it forgot all about tact and skill, it was pure aggression.
Nippy ran in and slammed both of his swords into the back of the beast, it reared it's head and kicked up again, lifting off the ground with Nippy still attached with his blades. It tried to reach around and snatch him with it's long neck but he was just out of range. Nippy saw Bloodstalker leap and grab hold of it's foot just as it took off. Nippy grinned and motioned him to come up, it was just gaining some altitude, joining the Dracolich when Bloodstalker joined Nippy.
"So what do you want to do from here?" Asked Nippy, he grinned again and waited for a reply.

Taking his dagger from his belt, BS used it as a walking stick, plungining it into the dragons hide as he worked his way towards Nippy.
holding on as best he could, he considered Nippy's question. It appeared that the dragon was unable to twist enought to reach them, but at the same time, they were not in a spot to really do any damage. Still, things weren't all THAT bad he guessed. At least he had discovered that Strikers enchantment allowed it to peirce the dragons thick hide.
Looking at Nippy, he grinned back. " Ever been close enough to a dragons head to smell it's breath?" His blood was flowing quickly now, the thrill of battle along with their current situation making him feel alive. "I think we need to get in a posistion to do some damage, not much we can do to hurt it where we are sitting"
For emphasis, he plunged his dagger into the back of the beast, getting no response other than a roar of out rage.
"At least not hurt it pemanantly", he grinned, as he started to climb up towards the neck. Stopping for a moment, he looked back at Nippy....."You coming?"

"Is that a challenge?" Nippy grinned and pulled his swords out from the back of the beast, a piercing roar erupted from the beast.
"Anyone would think he didn't like that!" Nippy grinned again and sheathed one of his blades. "Have you got another of those daggers? These blades aren't much use for climbing!" Bloodstalker grinned again and gave one to Nippy.
"Take care of it! I want it back after we're done!"
Nippy forced the dagger through the hide and climbed his way up alongside Bloodstalker.
"How about we get right up it's nose, literally!" Nippy laughed again and pointed towards it head.
"I'm thinking more about being a pain in the neck!" Bloodstalker laughed at his terrible joke but Nippy just shook his head.
The adrenalin coursed through Nippy's bloodstream, his heart pounded and he could hear the blood rush in his ears. He carried on climbing inching his way up the back of the beast, alongside Bloodstalker.

Then the buffeting stopped as soon as it had appeared to start. Yshania's flesh felt like stone, the Time Stop was in effect, but peripherally she caught sight of the strangest vision...Bloodstalker and Nippy appeared frozen mid flight, precariously attached to the shadow dragon like pieces of irritating jewelry...
The dracolich continued it's guttural rumblings, the words diffused and warped. Certain areas of the incantation she was familiar with, though not trained in...she wondered on who or what would be the victim of the Finger of Death...and where was it placing those Symbols?
The last thing Yshania recalled before losing her senses, was the elemental prince exploding in a cloud of gas and metallic slivers....as the battle scene became reanimated, one nymph happened upon the symbol Death, and disintegrated into a blue cloud...a greater fire elemental stood dazed having found the symbol Stun. Yshania ran around blindly...having been affected by symbol Fear...

As the lingering effects of Time Stop continued to make themselves felt, Dragon Wench moaned at the dizziness that seemed to grip her entire body.
Suddenly she remembered that she still had a few healing potions in her belt........she recalled that this particular variety had been brewed up by Thantor. Rapidly, she uncorked one of the mysterious bottles and took several swigs. At once, an energizing warmth made itself felt, her vision began to stabilize, and her nausea disappeared.
Encouraged, Dragon Wench again eyed the dracolich, and wondered which spell to employ on the fearsome beast before it once more targeted them with magic of its own. Perhaps, it were the unusual benefits of the potion, or maybe it was the dizziness that she had so recently experienced.....but surprisingly, Dragon Wench was hit by a blast of inspiration.
Before she could stop herself, she had muttered the incantation to "Polymorph Other"......
Somewhat oblivious to what was occurring around her, Dragon Wench suddenly heard several gasps of horror and at least one suppressed giggle. Gazing towards the battle, she saw with dread that her spell had misfired........ The dracolich was staring, goggle-eyed, instead of at Aegis, at a spritely mare that skittishly pawed the ground before her. Dragon Wench, gazed, dumbstruck........ It was only when she heard the unmistakable sound of hoof beats that she recalled she had forgotten to lock her stallion in his stall........

Struggling back to the keep, Farscape was hurting. He was bleeding heavily from several points where the dragons claws rent great holes in his armour early in the battle. The beutiful Plate Mail gifted to him from Keldorn was horribly beaten and holed, slick with blood of man and beast alike. He had not been carrying a full array of gear when this whole thing started, leaving him short on healing potions, in fact having none. Making his way back took less time than on the way there, probably because he was taking a straight path instead dodging in and out of a dragons attack. He came into out of woods and into the fire it seems. The grounds of the keep were full of violence. Most terrifying of all was the form of the draco lich walking dantily amidst Farscapes friends and allies.
He started running, pushing he battered body beyond what was possible, striving desperetly to get their in time, as the dracolich healed itself. Not to bad he thought, gasping for more air. But things got worse as it headed towards Mysteria.
Unsheathing Retribution, he hurled the axe with whatever strength he could muster, the little axe flew true, careening of the beasts skull before returning to Farscapes grasp, causing little damage, but distracting.
"Not again" Farscape gasped again. "Hey, Draco! Over here" he shouted, barely, and threw the axe again, weaker than before, then staggered off back to the keep, away from his frozen compatriots.
He kept doing this, throwing the axe again and again, distracting the beast until it sent a wave of summoned beasts after him. Even in his weakend state, Farscape dispatched of them without to much difficulty, leaving a half dozen ogres and kobolds dead.
He threw the axe again, luring the dragon out of the sphere of frozen time. By now the gravely injured paladin was far to tired to do anything about it but stand before the great beast, unflinching as a mighty claw threw him into the wall of the keep. Bleeding badly now, he watched helplessly as the dragon returned to finish his friends. For Farscape however, the battle was over, and he left his lifeless body on the field amidst all the chaos.

Mysteria stumbled as the time unfroze, then rolled on the ground as a dark bolt struck, sucking at her life force. For a moment, the whole world was spinning, then swam back into focus.
Boiling rage now fired up in her, enhanced even more by the vivid pain she was feeling. That Dracolich was going to die, NOW!
Where was it? She scampered to the edge of the rampart - what was that horse doing there? - there was the Dracolich.
Dark dots swiming in front of her eyes, she completely lost control as she saw Farscape falling to the ground ... NO! He couldn't be...
Suddenly, she had the cat-creatures black blade in her hand and hurled it at the Dracolich and was startled to see it actually hit the dragon at that long distance and bury itself deep in the creatures body. The dragon screamed in pain, somehow, she had the feeling that the dagger would eventually find it's way to what served as heart to this dark creature...
At the same time, she felt her magic run wild once more, swelling to a storm, she must not unleash it ... must not... The magic raging through her was too much and she fell unconscious onto the ground...

Yshania continued to run around like a woman possessed...thankfully - she would find out later - she only looked a little flustered, and she didn't scream once

By the remains of the Eastern rampart, Pridwen grazed, seemingly oblivious to the chaos that raged around her. But then the familiar thundering of hooves caused her to lift a questioning head. She was slightly irritated by the distraction from this green stuff that seemed to be stubbornly presenting itself to her through the frosted ground...it and her waistline were talking poetry to one another...
Midnight Spirit bolted past her. Feeling first bewildered, and then scorned, she had realised the subject of his attention was some sylphlike underfed spindly weakling of an example who was strutting her stuff on the Southern rampart. Despite the fact that there was little he could do but stand below and bellow like a folorn Romeo, Pridwen would not be publically shamed. Snorting and shaking herself down, she set off in a determined canter after the errant stallion...

Midnight Spirit let up a mournful nicker as he gazed longingly upwards at his object of desire.
"She is so frisky," he thought to himself, as visions of the coming Spring danced across the fertile pastures of his equine mind.
The mare, meanwhile looked on in alarm, and tried to avoid noticing the stallion's obvious, growing interest in her comely form.

Pridwen laboured to catch up, more convinced than ever that she should concentrate on the greener food...she pulled to a stop beside Midnight Spirit...He did not even acknowledge her bumping rudely into him, and her potential audience to a tantrum were too distracted by some big birdy things leaping around the tower and the rampart. Trying desperately to catch his eye, she came to realise why equine eyes do not face forwards...as a potential victim, you had to permanently watch your back...if horses could sag, she did so heavily then. Midnight Spirit continued to woo his fancy, Pridwen silently boiled. She had tried pulling up her belly and dancing on her toes, but she was in no way a match for this model of grace and femininity that pranced around above their heads...
Then she had an idea. Forcing her head around her growing flank, she lifted Yshania's bag down off the pommel of the saddle and dropped it to the ground, then with gentle, but determined nods of her head, she searched the bag to discover her quarry. With a burst of excitement and inspiration she rolled a withered apple out of the pack and onto the ground by her stallion's pawing hooves. Midnight Spirit stopped...a familiar scent filled this nostrils, which flared to draw it all in...the apples!!! Snatching hungrily, he downed the fruit without chewing....
Moments later he was bellowing and bolting through the keep and up the stairs to the rampart, leaving a bewildered Pridwen staring after him....
