Oh oh, here we have clear evidence of psychic ability! I rarely if ever frequent any thread here that isn't a topic that interests me. I only looked in this one to get my SYMian's banging about in their cages, Zoo fix as the other threads have been locked! Unless you universally use the citing of my name every time you mention teastable hypothesises I think we may have to accept that there are forces beyond the ken of science.... :D  :speech: :mischief:

Oh how I have laughed at the recent shenanigans here. If I was Buck I'd ban the lot of you. Seriously, for a site that focuses on gaming it would appear that almost all of the angst comes from the turgid cesspit that is SYM. I recently saw a member with 7000 odd posts who I had never seen before. I come here about every day. That's a shirt load of pointless posts on a game help board. There are some here who would say bravo, I say phooie.

Still it is more entertaining than Oprah (Not that that is saying much). As this is a special occassion I reveal once more the warlord sig-o-"s"word, and of course Weasel is the greatest, no really, I mean it this time. - Curdis !

Clear evidence - you and I have experienced it and felt it! Coincidence? I don't think so. I've just seen too much and felt too much...we know it's true. :D

I do see you appear on line in the box below the forum, but hey, that's not cold reading

Quick write a script about how we use our powers to solve cold cases! Ca-ching!

I'll write up a quick advertising sign:

ROFL :D

Do you have that "medium solves cold cases" crap is Oz as well?

Here, price has a negative correlation to empirical evidence. Btw, did you check out the fishy link Xandax posted in his thread "Endless energy"?

I would need some endless energy right now, this is the 3rd night in a row I'm up writing...and writing...

Not only do we have it here but the proven fraud who is the subject of the series was recently on the national broadcasters hard news program promoting her new book. The journalist responsible was made under pressure to get her response to the Australian Skeptics claims that she was a fraud and she dismissed them with a glib "they wouldn't know" !

A simple phone call would have established:

1/ She has never worked for any American law enforcement agency in her capacity as a psychic.

2/ Her claims have been tested numerous times and she has failed on every occassion to beat probability.

3/ If her claims were true she would be an incredibly wealth person (Just off James Randi)and wouldn't need Fox to pay her for a fictional drama, or write books full of crap.

Hang on I'm drowning in my own spittle.

Oh no I appear to havew gone off topic! Oh my *insert deity of choice* I'm "s" wording! I'm of a mind to redraft the New Improved Goodbye Form for the current era - Curdis !

To Whom It May Concern:

I, Myself, am here and by declaring Thyself to be Curdis', hisself's, Apprentice. I shall now use a funny clored Sub Sig which isn't really a sig, shall hate Spam with a vengenance, yet actively and semi silently spam with every post I make, have Biting wit and sarcasm, and Develop my own "Knightly Sig O The S Word." That is all - CHUS !

Oh foolish @minion

Chu,

For me to accept you as an apprentice you would need to meet certain standards and pass certain tests.

The first one will be with regards to abstaining from even using the "s" - word and learning not to post unless there is a clear and demonstrable reason.

IF you are able to restrict your post count to less than 9000 by the end of this calander year (and also refrain from using the hateful "s" - word) I will move your application up from "Bleeding unlikely" to "Meh". Of course until you are fully accepted I would ask that you refrain from using any reproduction of the previously mentioned warlord sig-o-"s" - word, Thank You for your cooperation. That is all - Curdis !

We have similar thing here, I haven't seen it but it's been discussed in the Swedish Sceptics society. There is a TV show where some English-Swedish medium guy is "helping" people to get in contact with their dead family members. On the Sceptic's website, the programs have been analysed and are clearly demonstrated to be cold readings. However, the guy who did the analysis has since received death threats and threats against his family, and his name, address and phone number have been posted on a forum for mediums with the explicit instruction that they should harass him. The chairman of the Swedish organisation for mediums (who is also the admin of the medium website) has also tried to take the analyst to court for slander (which of coruse failed, but it shows how far these people are prepared to go).

Waverly sometimes used to say he longed to move to remote island. I used to say I'd join him. Shall we make it three? Hopefully, one of you can cook :D

Considering that a remote island would have no mobile phone reception, that sounds like paradise. You can make it four, if y'all will have me. And I'm a mean microwave chef. :p

@Chimaera: Hmmm...your last post in the Endless energy thread shows some potential, although unfulfilled and with insecure reliability. Curdis and I will need to confer regarding suitable tests, and should you be allowed to take the tests, we'll see....but remember, failure means you end up in the cauldron.
With chili.

-tuts- Keep that up and I won't bring the three hot habenero peppers I appropriated from my mother's garden.

To those of you, if any, who are actually leaving Gamebanshee I wish to say goodbye and good luck in life!

I've been trying to catch up with everything that's been going on since I've been so... distracted lately, but I read that line of yours in another thread (it's probably improper to bring up something from another thread, especially a closed thread, but this isn't the reason for its closing so I'm hoping I'm violating no conventions of internet etiquette or propriety) and I didn't see any sarcasm. Though to be honest my ability to detect e-sarcasm is greatly diminished, whereas my ability to detect sarcasm IRL is second to none. Frankly, the word that automatically came to mind when I read that was "classy." Not sure why I felt the need to mention it, but whatever. :D

The extents that the charlatans are prepared to go to (regarding threats and intimidation are truely frightening. If you look at the limitless energy page you will see that the forum on the fraudsters web page has advocated doing the same thing to a poor Melbourne acedemic. What despicable low life. *Grrrr, recovers dentures, rrrrr*

I can cook (some would say passably well, others well, some 'special' seasonings and they suddenly go inexplicably silent, for good), but would not go to the island because as I say to a friend here, where would we be if we didn't have something to rail against? - Curdis !
