hmm why do you need a credit card to register?

I asked myself that question many times....

I guess this is how they make sure that I'm a legal person with an address and will be able to pay (Xan mentioned this earlier somewhere). (I just don't understand why I can't play for a month and then chuck it out, that shouldn't require anything...)

well since i don't have one, and i'm not getting one, i guess that takes away the thought of ever getting WoW(phew) now i don't have to daydream after it.

yes but isn't the registration mandatory to be able to play the game.. and teh game cards are just to buy the game time? or is the registration mandatory only if you pay with your credit card?

At first you had to enter a CC nr during the registration process, but after Yeltsu wrote to Blizzard and threatened them with a legal action they added the game card option, too, I guess.

You can use game cards instead of credit cards to registrer.

My problem when I registrered was that it was still 1 month left before the game cards would appear in the stores.

are you serious? did yeltsu enable the "no credit card" playing???

hmm but i still didn't get that about the "lame car" and i really don't want to.. nope nope, i'm contend with knowing i can never play the game..

lol no But I remember he was frustrated about the same problem (no CC and the GCs weren't available at all when he firt tried to register).
