Okay @Nips, but bear in mind my lawyer's here now so any attempts to frame me again will be viewed by McBane here.

Ice bongs, whilst needing a reasonably large bong (in order to fit the ice into-see attached photo, and note the large 'neck' that the bong has) have two major benefits over normal bongs. Many pot smokers do not smoke cigarettes, and hence find that their throats get irritated from the smoke, and also that the aforementioned irritation makes 'toking' difficult. Ice bongs remove these problems by cooling the smoke significantly, making it easier on your lungs and throat, and enabling you to get a smoother draw which can be sustained for longer than a normal bong.
Nowadays I only ever smoke in ice-bongs and joints, unless I'm feeling lazy and just use my pipe.

You think that's phallic, you should have seen some of the other ones in the store I got it from. One was shaped like a phallus, literally. And the drawhole was placed so that anyone using it had to look like they were giving the 'phallus' head.
Decidedly tacky.
Beyond that, I'm pretty certain most phalluses aren't quite shaped like my bong...
