You ponder about Kurtulmak and mostly draw up a blank, you know he's a popular kobold deity though and it makes you wonder why such a god would be so popular in a town where you haven't seen any kobolds yet...
"Are you coming?" Frederick whispers, catching your attention...
Roll to move silently to be able to be able to traverse silently through the western part of the middle east without being detected by the ogre.
"So should we leave you to tell the people where to go?", Frederick asks the orc. The orc shakes his head "Deh townsfolk only listen to us in fear, not sure if such an approach is gud for this occasion considering that they have much more to fear. Something more assuring than in-tina-mama-dating, is in order...", The orc whispers back sounding out the large word and still stumbling across it.

You smash through the wall which makes your body feel quite sore.
(Temporary -1 to ac or attack, your choice)
You then jump back and prepare for the worst, when the dust settles you cuss. You walk through the now opened passage way in order to confirm your fears... You're back in the first room you started in!
Spot 12+6=18
Search (Stone) 15+1+2=18
Looking with fresh eyes, you make a quick scan around the room, this time knowing that there are probably hidden passageways, and your suspicions are confirmed when you find that the stone wall under the stairs is barely existent compared to most of the walls, the brick work being a foot thick at most and the mortar weak. Compared to the wall you've already smashed through this one should be a piece of cake.

The students begin to cheer. The high elf then turns and begins to quiet them down... "Alright there are still a few orders of business to address... First off, we've already discusses that there shall be 5 rounds and what each round shall entail... but should they know?"
Shouts come from the students, "Of course, they need to prepare!", "They should always be prepared", "They should be allowed to maximize their efforts against each task individually", "In reality though you have to be well rounded and prepared for anything!", "I think it'd be more exciting if they both had time to prepare!", "There's 2 hours between each round to begin with", "Yeah I want to get this started as soon as possible."
The high elf quiets them down again... "Let's ask our contestants... Should you be allowed to know the challenges in advanced, or will you prepare for surprises?", Cid laughs, "Haha, it's obvious isn't it? The guild is built upon careful forethought and consideration. If your professors taught you anything it was about thinking things through and adapting to the situation, not simply barging in all willie nillie and hoping for the best. Regardless of how some people think it's the best strategy." Cid shoots a look at you.
The high elf then turns to you, "What do you say Professor Drudoc?"

You listen again and you make it out to be a voice, it's a weak voice. I seems to be coming from behind you, at your feet. You look and see a set of metal bars leading to a basement level, possibly providing a little fresh air to a cell.
You look at the building you were hiding up against and notice it to be the local prison. The lights are off in the building and it's fairly small, something tell you that this probably seconds as the warden's house. You can only assume that the voice you're hearing is from someone being detained by the townfolk. Perhaps another member of the gypsy caravan, but why they haven't been killed yet you can't understand.

You unlock the chest and disarm the chest. You fiddle around with it and manage to open the chest without setting off the sensitive trigger.
Opening the chest you find that it is filled with gold coins and has a pouch built into the lid of the chest. You do a quick survey and find that it has 205 gp and in the pouch you find a gold ring with the head of a ram adorning it. Since the ring was separated from the gold pieces you can only assume that the ring is magical but have absolutely no clue what it does or ow to activate it off the top of your head.

"We need a sure way to talk them into leaving. What about telling them that there is free food outside the southern part of town, or their is a magic show?" (if such existed)

[Rahg'nuul is dumb-struck by the find. He has never seen so much wealth before! He carefully, collects the gold from the chest and inspects the ring. His old master might have mentioned something about a 'ring of ram' or 'ring of the ram' or something of the like. Or maybe he is completely unsure and confused about it. He studies the ring...]Rhag'nuul

[Assuming the skill check does not reveal it to be cursed, Rahg'nuul removes his glove and puts the ring on his other hand. Note: Chanceborn is on the left, this new ring is on the right hand.]
(whispers to self) "It's best I get moving again" [Rahg'nuul scans the room to identify which (if any) exits from this chamber are available to him after the most recent shift event]

I scout the area around the prison for townfolks or cultists, then if I find a window I try to look inside to spot any guard inside(from atleast to diferent openings), I keep my ears open, also I try to locate the cell from where the sound is coming(if it has a opening to the outside).

You move over to there location, and although you try your best to be silent the clattering of your armor, seems to have put the ogre into high alert... It hasn't figured out where you are but it knows that something is going on somewhere.
You silently suggest coaxing them with free food or the magic show. Frederick looks at the orc who looks slightly bewildered. Frederick than says, "He's right, to a degree. We should probably convince them about free food and shelter at the keep. I think I'll do the talking since the townfolk might not respond in your favor.", nodding to the orc, "...and my accomplice here seems to be a little out of it."
As you begin to go towards the first series of houses Frederick leans in, "Just so you know, I'm not sure how magic works back in your homeland but here in western Albion it is considered illegal and a crime of the highest order. The only exceptions to this are the Inquisition, government sanctioned mages and during the festival of Tiamat where government sanctioned mages are allowed to display their magic prowess to audiences under heavily controlled circumstances."
With that the group makes it to the first set of houses and Frederick begins rallying the villagers. He turns back to look at you and the orc, "Should we send them off to the keep or should they follow us as we gather the rest of them, it'll allow us to protect them."
Rahg'nuul
Rahg'nuul examines the ring but is unable to determine it's purpose at this point in time. After putting the ring on, it seems safe to say that it doesn't appear to be an overtly cursed item, or at least not a strong one since the ring can also be taken off without much trouble.
Since you've spent a take 20 on search the chest, which was a long expanse of time I'm going to wait until Khannon's time line becomes in sync again. I'll let you know when you are up.

After making this declaration, the high elf nods. "Well, well we'll have everyone raise hands. In favor of preparation?" A few hands go up, "In favor of just getting this party started?" The entire mess hall springs up with hands and a few hoots and hollers.
"Then it's settled! We shall assemble the judges and begin in 30 minutes, this will allow you to grab whatever spell components, wands, scrolls or items you wish to have on you during the examination." Declare the high elf. The students having awaited for this day for what appears to be ages begin moving chairs and tables in a religious like zeal and with such accute precision that you wonder how long they have been scheming up this whole tournament.
The high elf turns back to you, "Just to be clear, this is a contest strictly between the two of you, so no familiars and no servants... oh there he is!" Says the elf getting distracted, he marches over to the grizzled pirate captain who just happened to walk into the mess hall apparently unaware of the entire situation. The high elf then begins to explain about what is going on with the event and so forth.
Cid runs off to retrieve some things from his room leaving you in the middle of the room with Brim and Byggvir.

You silently scout around the building be sure to avoid alerting any townsfolk. Through an open window you spot inside the house the warden passed out drunk on his table with what appears to be a ring of keys in his hand. You also can clearly make out where the sound is coming from it is coming from a small barred opening at the base of the building, the hole to which would be to small for you to squeeze through even if the bars weren't there. You can only assume from the hollow sound the voice is making that the person is being kept in a very empty basement room.

"We should keep them with us for now. It would be easier to protect them. We should hurry and get back the the other side and get the citizens there. Hopefully the ogre doesnt circle back." to Frederick "I didnt know it was illegal. Good to know though. I'll try not to mention it again."
move silently if it is needed. Roll 5+2 DEX-5=2

"Oh bloody hell!"
Calming himself, he starts to analyze, thinking outloud.
"For it to move in the way it does, it would have to be linear. Therefore, for the square room on the right side to become the square room on the left side, it must move down, left, and then up, a total of 3 times.
If we factor in becoming the room on the south side, then it would be down, left, left and up. Or alternatively Up, left, left, down. Not quite sure which.
Therefore, if the room moves in that sort of fashion, almost circular if you will, then Rahg'Nuul must be on the opposite side just like before when we were first separated."
I go to the east wall (looks grayish on the map, assuming it's metal) and knock a series of knocks. It could be the beat of a jaunty tune, it could be mores code for the first few letters of his name, doesn't matter.

You ask a student to inform Maester Soloman. The student laughes and says it won't be necessary, "...he's going to be one of the judges".
You then go over to Byggvir and ask hm if he can give you any advice. The dwarf clears his throat. "I'll admit I don't know much about magic myself sir, but I do have a rough understanding of what each of master Cid's wands do... save one."
The first wand I remember was a wand shaped like a candle that he would make animals magically appear which he would then use in his experiments, then the animals would disappear as if they never existed.
The next wand had a silver bead at the end of it and would summon up a metal platform that carries his luggage for him, although he hates using it when he could just use me.
The next wand looks like a shepherd's staff and he used it last time to fix up the string on the experimental weapon you saw. It looked like the weapon fixed itself.
The other wand he's seen looked like a giant wooden key, Cid said that it was to be used later in the expedition to locate "the vault".
The final wand was a bright crimson handle with a thin metal bar protruding from it. He has no idea what that one does, but it's Cid's latest wand and he says it the one he'll use to protect himself against anything that stands in his way.
You have just enough time to rearrange any one spell you want with a spell of the same or lower level if you wish before the contest begins... You also need to figure out what to do with Brim.
Arvall
You enter the house by the window since the door appears to be locked. You sneak up behind the sleeping wanden and easily knock him out with the hilt of your blade. You tie him up and stuff him in a closet.
The house seems small being only one ground floor with a kitchen an empty bedroom and a locked wooden door leading to the cellar. You grab the key ring and try out the various keys until you find one that makes the door click. You put the keys in your pocket and prepare to head into the basement...
Khannon
Did you take a -1 to AC or attack?
You reassure yourself that your reasoning is sound and attempt to knock a tune on the metal wall...
3d4= 1+3+3=7
The second your hand hits the metal wall a surge of electircal energy pours from the wall into your hand, for a moment you feel bound to the wall. Before forcefully yanking yourself off. You fall to the ground screaming in agony as your arms twitches sporadically...
As you lay on the ground and attempt to recover your wits, you feel the dungeon shift once more... You see the metal wall pull itself further and futher away from you. The ground leading up to it also apparently made of the same electric charged metal. Then a brick wall moves into place and closes up where the metal wall had once been...
Listen 6+2-2 (rumbling)=6
While on your side you hear something off in the distance, but it's too muffled, most likely a result of being shocked from the metal wall.
You lay on the ground for a bit before managing to recover and getting back on your feet. You then wonder what you should do next.
Rahg'nuul
Faintly to the south you hear screams of agony... Then the dungeon begins shifting again. From what you can tell the entire room feels like it's shifting southward. You look at the southern entrance and see the stone wall move out of place to reveal a large metal room. With the metal wall coming closer and closer to you.
Spot 20+1=21
Your hawk-like vision also catches a glimpse of a giant brick wall with a entrance way. You see Khannon lying on the ground in pain. You want to regroup with him but notice that the floor between the two moving rooms is electrically charged. Also quickly calculating the distance you realize you're more likely to get yourself trapped and squashed between the electocally charged metal wall and the brickwork than make it to the opening.
You let out a holler to Khannon while waving frantically.
Once the rumbling stops you begin searching the western wall and find a weakness in the left wall where the wall is possible only 4-5 feet wide compared to most of the 10 feet of solid interlocking brick. If only you can find a way of getting on the other side.
Jarrackt
The clattering of you armour gets the attention of the ogre which begins coming towards you and the two warriors.
"Grummush be damned!" The orc curses.
"Quick plan, I've got an idea but it's borderline suicidal. Jarrackt, quickly run down to the southern end towards "eastern fall", make as much noise as possible, no time to explain." Frederick says frantically pulling himself and the orc into a narrow strip between two houses...
You turn around and see the ogre come around from the side of one of the houses. He sees you!
You ask a student to inform Maester Soloman. The student laughes and says it won't be necessary, "...he's going to be one of the judges".

1. First, he screams to Khannon "Khannon, if you can hear me...stay in that chamber, do not move or I fear we will never unite with all the shifting and bad luck this place possesses!"
2. Next, he approaches the 'loaded' statue. Fortunately, he did not deactivate the mechanism (just the trap on the chest). He inspects the device to see if the the statue can be rotated (i.e. aimed) in a certain direction and triggered to hurl the weapon at will. Rahg'nuul is hoping to be able to direct the statue at the weakness in the brickwork but understands this may not be possible.
3. Finally, if options with the statue are exhausted without success, Rahg'nuul will survey the north section of this room as he has not explored this side of the chamber yet (as indicated by the black area on DungeonA08.jpg)

I nod at Frederick and take off running. Trying to make as much noise as possible and will yell remarks at the ogre trying to keep its attention. "I'm over here ya big stuuupiid ogre!!! Come get me!!"

You draw your shortsword and make your way down the stairs. The cellar is dark and at the bottom you find a group of cells on the left hand side with the small hole with the lined up bars, that you heard the noise coming from outside, supplying the small amounts of moonlight.
Meanwhile on the right hand side of the room there appears to be a table with a bunch of confiscated gear, with a ridiculously huge flail with so many ornate patterns that you'd find it amazing if it even functions properly, a large wooden shield, a shirt of armor made from scales and a backpack and some sort of wooden holy symbol that you can't make out quite clearly in the dark lighting.
You hear the weak whispers once more and are drawn to the left corner of the room. In this locked cell you see a male human of average height and build with dark brown hair which hasn't been cut in ages bound to the wall...
New Character Cernd-ar
Cernd-ar was born in Harpy-loft during a very rough time just at the beginning of the age of chaos, long before the rulers of Morderhiem had begun to buy off and try and control the ravaging orcish hordes that roamed the world after the disappearance of the Forgotten.
It was in this time that Harpyloft was besieged by raiding parties of orcs, with his parents dead and still being a baby he was adopted and initiated into the Order of Hextor.
During his childhood he was taught the importance of warfare and how only through military might and intimidation could people bring order to society in this dark age. Cernd-ar was an apt pupil bringing both the mental discipline of one who's only calling and life had been in a life in service to Hextor along with the ability to adapt to the new world being forged in the ruins of the old. Once Cernd-ar had more than proven his worth as both a sage of the holy scriptures and a true warrior of the cause he needed to set up a church to spread Hextor's message to the weak and misguided.
You then went back to Harpyloft, which had slowly begun to rebuild itself after the devastating attacks that occurred 15 years prior. You established a small church and made the town your devout followers... or so you thought.
Despite everything you did for the community when the crops failed 2 years back the town fell to pieces and their faith in Hextor failed.
You claimed it was Hextor testing them, to make them into stronger warriors, but they were to weak to be true warriors of the church. They turned on you and slowly one by one they began worshipping a new demonic like deity. Then what began as a small cult soon overshadowed your church and you were cast into hiding.
You since then had been turning the city you once fought so hard to protect into your own private battlefield for a holy war between your true god and the false god that has taken residence in the local cemetery.
Last month was the end of your private crusade, you fought one of the demonic hell-spawn a twisted begin which sought to corrupt your very mind. While you managed to kill the beast and save yourself from going insane you were finally kidnapped and have been rotting in this cell for the past month waiting.
Just now you have attracted the attention of someone who is not under the influence of the demonic entity and now you may have a second chance at holy retribution.
Brauer Drudoc
You send Brim to stay with Byggvir and quietly await the challenges.
Don't forget to get rid of your bonuses for having a familiar, they are nullified for the sake of these trials.
The students transform the mess hall into a giant auditorium. On both sides of which there are booths with curtains surround seats, and near the front end of the auditorium there is a desk set up for the judges. You notice that the hall doesn't just feature students from the program, but also features a bunch of the crew members from the ship who have stopped by to see what all the fuss is about. In the crowd you see a half-orc covered in tribal tattoos with a gold piecing set though his right eyebrow. He looks crazed as if he hasn't slept in days, from what you can make out he has a wand or rod wrapped up in a linen cloth which he is resting on his legs.
The tournament begins! The high elf arrives on the front stage and stands in front of you and Cid. "Ladies and Gentlemen, Members of the guild and humble hosts of the Naughtwulf. This is a test of speed, style, knowledge and overall magic prowess between Brauer Drudoc and Cid Cinderbane.
Before we begin, we shall go over the overall rules of the tournament..."
The rules in summary are:
A)No outside interference.
B)No interfering Cid's spells, unless granted by the trial.
C)No bribing of the judges.
D)No familiars or servants, summoned creatures are allowed.
The tournament is ranked on a score of 100, each round is worth up to 20 points. Person with the points wins the tournament.
... Now introducing your judges. The first judge we have is Maester Soloman Winter! Soloman waves to the crowd as he takes his seat.
The next judge is the fair captain of this vessel, Waltur Blud. The grizzled captain strides over to his seat as the crew erupt into cheers.
The next judge, is Rilo-Kar, the crazed tattooed half-orc grins from ear to ear as he gets out of his seat and sits down at the table.
"The next judge is Ariel Val'Sarghress..." All the members of the guild turn to look at the drowess who hid near the back, now sinking in her seat. They coax her into taking her spot in the judge panel. It is more than painful apparent that she had not planned to be judging at all. At least you know her name now.
"And finally, myself, Quarion Sovel!" Says the high-elf in his most showman-like voice.
"This first test is to be done individually by the professors. We shall judge them 5 points each for Success, Speed, Spell efficiency & Style. The first professor to be up is...", Quarion flips a coin in the air and catches it. "Heads or Tails", "Heads" says Cid before you can even respond.
Quarion looks at the coin, "It is Tails!, Brauer goes first!"
The silent bodyguard of Waltur materializes in his padded armor and put his hand on Cid's shoulder. "This Way..." Rumbles the dragonic voice. Motioning to the curtained area. You only noticed now but the head of the padded warrior is shaped like that of beast with a protruding mouth, like a dog or crocodile. But you can't make out what it is since even his head is covered in armour.
Cid nods, somewhat shaken by the sudden appearance of the intimidating figure. Once in the booth the high elf continues. "At the moment one of the contestants is placed in a booth unable to see how our first contestant solves this trial. He will be placed in the booth later. This ensures that each professor must arrive to their own conclusion and if they both solve it the same way that it will be coincidental and not because of copying each other's tactics."
The high elf looks back at the padded beast warrior who gives him a thumbs up. "Let the first test begin!" Cheers erupt from the students.
"In this challenge you will be presented with a perfectly spherical 2 foot orb made of limestone, in the centre there is a mithril orb with a 1 inch diameter. Your goal is to destroy the limestone and retrieve the mithril orb using your spells."
The orb is placed in front of you by the hulking padded warrior and everyone steps out of the way, with Quarion taking his spot in the judging table. Everyone falls silent as they await to see what you do...[/i]

While it is possible to rotate the statue on it's base, making it hurl the axe, especially in a predictable manner is another story. While you theorize that your plan might work, activating the statue will only destroy the wall between the statue and the chest. Any damage to the wall between you and Khannon would be minimal and be a result from debris.
You think hard about the plan and try to think about how to modify it to work...
Knowledge (Architecture and Engineering): 16+5=21
...A brilliant idea springs to mind. It might not work, but you're running out of options anyways. You think that if you wedge yourself between the statue's back and the wall and use your legs to push (+2 to strength check ) You might be able to push the statue through the first wall, and the force of impact will be enough to trigger the statue's axe to stretch the extra expanse and smash through part, if not all of the wall between you and Khannon.

[Rahg'nuul does in fact wriggle his small frame in between the base of the statue and the wall behind it...pushing it with all of the might his legs can muster towards the western wall. Once he has pushed it as far as he can (assuming STR check succeed), he repeats the process again THIS time using the length of the chest to close the distance between the statue and the weakened brickwork even further.]
ToDM2: Please see the attached diagram so you understand what I am attempting here.
ToDM3: Please roll my STR checks (x2) for me. Rahg'nuul's STR = 12
ToDM4: File attached.

I cut the bindings holding the human and quickly back away and keep my sword pointing at the man "Who are you?"
Brauer Drudoc.
I get close to the sphere then I cast "acid splash" and aim at the top part of the the sphere and try to make an opening.
concentration 15+8=23
