@IN-Classic behaviour, good man! I see we solved your sobriety, at any rate. :D
**Pours T a JDs on ice** I too shall be off to bed in a moment, so goodnight @all, and hugs for all the ladies, as ever.

Ah sniff sniff parting is such sweet sorrow, hasta luego Ode and all

An now sadly I am sure for all you I too must depart, my destiny awaits leading where I do not know but guided by dreams and hopes I know only it will be a good path.

Anyways I got to get something to eat quickly before I leave for my next class, I am finally back at college, a senior this year so of course I stupidly put a heavy course load, fortunately it is the first day so I really don't have to worry yet except in the case of chronic boredom done from the teachers reviewing the class rules etc. etc. etc. Goodbye lovely Viv and Tlanya and auvoea all else, you nastily cheerful bunch of drunkards, till later comes and I see you again.

This is a bar dear Viv, polite is not quite the word you use, besides I am sure Ned and BS are still lurking around here somewhere.

Not true Viv, things can be quite polite.

Are you a fan of the State Fair? Have you been there yet for some deep fried crisco on a stick or to visit with new Gubernatorial candidate Tim Penny.

Did he used to be a pro wrestler as well?

Not yet this year I have not :)

I love the State Fair! They have petting zoos and fattening food, cheese on a stick being my favorite. I always do the haunted house near the beginning as well (though this is not a good thing as I scare easily) But, my SO wants to wait until 'no one is there'

Regarding rides, there is always valley fair in Shakopee with that fun water park :)

I'm definitely going to the renaissance festival though! Are you a fan of that?

Hmm...I've been out of politics, but he's running independently I believe?

Peter King from Sports Illustrated says that the Minnesota State Fair has deep-fried Snickers® on a stick and walleye on a stick. Is this true?

What a silly question. Of course we do. :) A stick is simply the most efficient way to eat hideously fattening things....it's almost as if you view this as a 'bad' thing?

(Neddy, you might want to get a rope) :D

IN: *hug* Thanks for hanging out with us :)

McBane: Lol :)

HLD,

The MN state fair is quite an interesting place. They have candy bars, deep fried served on a stick, cow milking contests, Lyle Lovett tonight LIVE (insert sarcastic comments here; despite the man's talent, I am not a fan)

I haven't been there this year yet.

Regarding the Renaissance festival, a weekend pass is usually in order. Chances are, I'll make it there at once a week during its' time here. I'm working on multiple costumes, yet none are complete. It is a great time. I'll make family tripz there, a run or two with the SO, and then a couple of runs with a group of hoodlums. If you see a large pack of drunken vandals down there at some point, odds are I'm one of them :D

Peter King's MMQB says there are 36 different items sold "on a stick" (go about halfway down the page to the "Factoid of the Week that May Interest Only Me"). Is this something peculiar to the midwest? Here in West Virginia, we have ramp onions, poison that passes for whiskey and hominy grits. When I lived in Florida the prime delicacy was alligator. I do not remember having anything served "on a stick" except for corndogs. So how good is walleye on a stick?

as good as walleye served on a plate. Bet you knew that was coming.

Seeing as how I am not a native, I also do not see the fascination of serving things on a stick other than the fact that it is less bulky and more trash conservative than serving it on a plate. The grounds do get quite trashed over a ten day period. Think if everything served on a stick was served on a plate. They'd have to hire more grounds crew which means less profit. And these items served on a stick are SUCH a bargain.

Example: Walleye on a stick consists of a 2.5 oz. deep fried chunk of walleye served on a stick for five bucks. It is highway robbery. Perhaps I'll don my robin hood costume again for the state fair and steal from the richly vendors storing the tender spoils of my efforts in my belly

Just tell me which days you shall be there oh robin hood...with warning , I can be safely convorting miles away at the Renaissance festival at that time...

Could you stop by Alltel Stadium in Jacksonville and get back some of the $6 I paid for a watered-down beer?

For that HLD, I shall have to slay such perpetrators. Watered down beer is a blaspheme that pierces the very heart of our existence with poisoned blade.

All I can hope for HLD is you make up for the loss with some Sam Adams triple bock. Drink a six pack and go jump on a jet ski. It's mighty fun provided you're a good swimmer.
