id say something about this arguement, but im going to be better then the rest of you and let it go
It's not an argument, it's a series of well informed and insightful observations on the founding of the New World.

A curious comment. To which I pose a question- had Columbus not been an incompetent would we be having this debate?

The word bollocks springs instantly to mind- with the exception of world war 2 I can't think of a single engagement where the US has "saved" Britain- in fact if memory serves both Bushes practically begged for British aid in both Iraqi wars.

ahh yes, save us, "save" all those people everywhere on the globe, all the vietna....NO!
No seriousness here!
well, we only asked britain because france is scared to help
No, Britain was asked because, despite the small size of our armed forces they are some of the best equipped and best trained troops in the world- nearly 1000 years of war to fall back, though admittedly much of this was in the empire days when we fought people armed with nothing more than mango and guava halves.
And yes, France is scared of fighting, they are the reason the British expeditionary force had to withdraw at Dunkirk.
Btw, from the manual issued to US troops in Iraq:
"Do not engage in drinking contests with British soldiers- you will lose."

Yes, but it's like a vaccination- to build a toilerance you have to drink it repeatedly but frankly I couldn't bring myself to do it- I'll stick with the Earl Grey
