LOL....We are fortunate that you have been around as long as you have. Such forward minded thinking would seem to be the forte of Babylonian Gods :D ;)

Tut tut. The Babylonians were quite well off, with their 'Eye for an eye' policy... :D

You're just jealous. I never encouraged any of my followers to take an eye if one of theirs was taken. Gold, yes: "Go grab that sucker!" I used to project into the assembly, when a pickpocket snuck in. But for the most part, I urged them to be whimsical, loving, studious, and learn musical instruments. :)

Can you say as much?

@Aegis and fable:LOL....As much as I would love to stay and see you two venerable beings duke it out, the time has come for me to give report and head for home, but if I could stay, my money would be on fable...... ;)

Why, that's awfully kind of you, @Scayde. Pancakes and whiskey are free, the next time you're here. :)

As for you, @Aegis, I hear you suffered from Montezuma's Revenge for 128 years running, and I do mean running. You should know better than to eat ground cornmeal in a thick chocolate sauce. ;)

Well, better then trying to build a rediculously large tower for no better reason then to compensate the less enduring aspects of soceity. :D

Oh, no, you can't blame me for that one! I told them to build a nice series of highway buffets with outdoor tables, but do you think they listened? Politicians. Anything for self-glorification.

Not that your record against Cortez is exactly stellar. You were supposed to *protect* your people, @Aegis, not ignore them while you you were discovering the virtues of sangria. What did they teach you in deity school?

Or a good tequila, I understand exactly what you mean. :)

Austin has been calling my name. If I can swing it, I think some good blues are in order. :cool;..If that doesn't pan out, I'll probably be spending time playing MW, or keeping this barstool from walking outa here :D

@Aegis: AA? You mean, alcoholic parties, followed by Alcoholics Anonymous, followed by more alcoholic parties? Or does AA stand for something else in your neck of reality?

@Scayde: Ah, Austin. What's it like, these days? I still have memories of it from the 1970s, but I'm sure it's grown like a weed, and lost a lot of the college town flavor it once had.

Neck of reality? Come on, you should know by now. Mine is the ankle of reality ;)

It has become huge. If you remember Houston in the sixties, it is about on par, however the downtown area still holds much of the old town charm, much like San Antonio, the rapid growth has all been out in the burbs, with numerous bedroom communities springing up all in the hill country. Marble Falls, nothing more that a gas station and beer store in 1980, is now a town of 60.000

@Scayde: Gods, that's too bad. It sounds like the character is gone. A real shame. I can remember when it was easy to walk around not too far from downtown and still find plenty of woods. Hell, I saw pictues of Richard Garriott and his syncop...er, working crew doing RPG sessions in the scrub brush and on a very nice, nearby lake.

Matter of fact, I remember going to that lake another time, with some friends. Can't remember it's name, though. Probably been drained to make way for a suburb. :(

No, it is still there, however it is enclosed in a park now, and you can no longer wade or swim in it :( .....you are right, much of the old character is gone, but still, for a city of it's size, it is a wonderful place, and the music scene is still among the hottest in the Southwest

Well...Time to give report,Thanks for the Tequila ;)

I'll catch you guys later. It was fun :)
