Sitting down on a boulder, Gigi took a deep breath, and then another gulp of whisky.

"You couldn't even protect yourself,and still you want to keep the town safe?"

"I...."

"You are nothing.You are a failure.You have no right to call me your father.Begone,I do not wish to have you in my presence"

The sheriff sighed,as he turned away from his father.Perhaps father was right.............*Brink took out his pistol and stared at it*perhaps I did nothing but brought shame to the family.....

Kramor, thought Loner was kidding.
"Unless you did it? Did you tell anyone else? Who else would know? How convenient Aaron was in town, tonight? I don't know anymore Loner, I've been shot and beaten in the last two days. Ever since I came into this town. What am I suppose to think? God, my head hurts. I reminds of the time, that bronc of you daddy's threw me."

In spite of everything, Loner chuckled. "You were beaten up from that," she said. "I remember Jim picked you up and brought you inside, and I was so scared...and I took care of you..." Her voice trailed off.

"What happened to us? What are you holding back?"

Loner felt herself on the verge of tears again and struggled against them. "Why don't you tell me, Kramor?...My heart is breaking here, and I think you know why. I need to know what is going on..."

"I came to this town to find someone. Instead I find three. One wants to get rid of me. Two, I find after being gone for a long time. And three, I find after thinking she wanted me dead. I care for you, Loner. I do, but what about you? What do you really want?"

Brink places his gun with the barrel facing towards his mouth and his finger on the trigger.Maybe it's better if I'd just end this right now.....

Duke placed a hand on Brink's neck,lifting it up immediately as he looks in shock at how hot the sheriff's body was.Not only that,the sheriff's breathing and heartbeat has increased tremendously.

"Oh God, Kramor...you don't have to ask me that, I'm sure. You know what I want. This isn't about me. This is your decision." She laughed. "I can't believe I'm talking like this. I knew this was going to happen, I told you I was terrified of this...and I had to go and tell you how I felt abuot you. And you told me that you felt the same way...and I believed you...now it's happened, just like I said it would." She shook her head.

"Loner, how am I suppose to pick one or the other if I care for both. I can't do this, I care for both of you too much. I guess instead of me knowing I broke one heart. I going to break three, which includes mine. I can't choose. I'll leave as soon as I can."

Loner could see Kramor getting exhausted again, so she said, "I'm going to leave you to your rest now." She got up, and gently caressed his hair. Then she left the tent.

Gigi looked round as Loner left the tent. She stayed where she was, taking another sip of whisky. Footsteps approached her.

Loner didn't see Georgi in the shadows, preoccupied as she was with what had just happened...she was about to pass her by, but saw her at the last minute...
