@Ned: Nice post. Not “exactly alive”, eh? Interesting...
@Mysteria: I suspect that as soon as the Dusk Ritual is complete, we’ll be heading off to fight the Abomination, so we can resolve that part of the story line. Its not that we’re not interested in the cat-person-at-the-end-of-the-tunnel story, I just figured you would be involved in the battle with the Abomination. Maybe the tunnel leads down there?
@Vivien: I’ve book-marked your site! I’m thinking of taking a close-up of Viv in her leaf bikini and turning it into my desktop wallpaper! Wait, I’m at work. I can’t do that. Nor at home. Alas!
@Nippy: I too, can’t wait to see what the men look like, well only me, that is. I’m hoping to be found in the hot tub with several of the female flames by my side, but I’ll take what I can get!
@Ned: Negra Modelo, if you please.

So what is your point? if I was not of age, I wouldn't care to let the law take me in. Since I am running, I therefore am of age.
And besides, being on the run requires skill of years of experience. Just think how many houses I have to break into just to use their computers to post?

I nominate Gwally as president of the 'post viv naked and don't worry about younger prying eyes fan club'. All in favor post with an "Aye"
A negro modelo for Gwally being served.........now.
I'm going to post again shortly as Flanders tries to make heads or tails of what the hell is going on with this encounter. The ideas presented will probably not be and shouldn't be correct. That said, they are not meant to alter the plot line regarding the rituals and the abomination.
The fact they involve the rituals of Amaunator might play perfectly with the role of Flanders.
25 years old and all those cars...I say 'trust fund' or professional athlete. It's certainly possible.

Crush enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of the women.

Information I felt better posted here than in the story thread.
The beauty of the globe of deep night is while it doesn't allow sunlight or any light source to penetrate its radius, the subject does not suffer any penalties on viewing outside the globe. That said, the globe isn't actually a spell, rather it is a field mentally projected from the self causing complete reflection of light from an area where it would normally be absorbed. The globe requires concentration to keep up but does not prohibit further action. Excessive action will cause the globe to weaken and eventually dissipate.
The origins of the globe of deep night can be traced back to a mingling of psionic ability shared between the illithids and the drow. Few drow possess psionic abilities but those males that did forged this creation with the help of the illithids to support potential quick drow strikes on the surface during dayllight hours, the ultimate in surprise.
end**
Since this is all fictional, I found it necessary to present to the group as you will not find this in any AD&D manual.
@Nippy, Congrats.

@Ned - I like the Globe as a neutral evil half elf, can I have the recipe please?
Ok - @alll - now I am a little confused...the battle at the noontide ritual I had imagined happening at the front of the keep - the fight with the demon and the drow at the rear...where are we all?

What does Ysh want with a globe of deep night? Now, if it were DW asking for one, I would be really worried....
Yeah, I think that the ritual is taking place to the south of the keep, and the demon battle a ways away in some other direction (I was envisioning the west)

Ysh,
I am afraid there is no recipe for the globe. I'd stick with the dressing gown. Maybe one of the mind flayers in the clearing could share the info with ya, by placing one of tentacles into your temporal lobe. Just kidding, that won't happen. I'm on the way to help.
Is this enough smilies for you. I'm sorry I omitted smilies earlier, I just don't use them much. Check the latest post in the story, there's a smily there just for you.

I envisioned the globe of deep night as providing the additional benefit of disallowing any outside the globe to see thus creating the illusion of a globe of pitch black, similar I suppose to a darkness spell except this is a matter of psionics as opposed to a scribed spell.
I guess it would look similar to the globes of protection from BG without the energy you'd see on the outside of the globe. It would just appear to create a void but the creator on the inside can see out just rightily dightily.
Perhaps I didn't clarify enough in my initial explanation. hope this helps.
