i played the game until i got Jaheira and Khalid i had also xar and motoron (u know his partner ) and after a while they got fighting and killed each other.
i didn't understand the game very well, played a thief/mage with terrible stats, he got always killed fighting goblins and stuf, i had know idea that i could put spells in my spelbook by pressing the wright magic bottum and i couldn't raise the death or know how to heal

that's is way i didn't play BG1 much but want to play it again now.

TheDude can you explain to me how I write magic in BG1.
I don´t understand how to do it, witch button do I have to press?

i really have to come up with some better lines, because everybody is right about the lst one.

Hmmm. A serious topic... We tried that several times now but every time it didnt really work out. (miniskirts etc.) Maybe we can make a good discussion if we all answer grimreapers question:

how powerful do you think the dual classed characters from BG2 will be in ToB? Someone such as a kensai/mage dualed at level 9 or even 12. I don't think that those kensai skills are going to be that usefull in ToB.

i'll answer that question with a quote from the movie Men in Black: "well, your skills mean exactly... ****. "

Now serious, i agree. a level 12 kensai isnt going to do much against a level 40 character even when stone skinned and all. A kensai mage can cast good spells, but eventually he has to engage his enemies in melee. (if not you should have chosen a pure mage.) Dual classed characters will be much less powerful i think.

well thats like 1 hour into the game since jaheira is good and xzar and montaron are evil

for all you BG1 players (not thedude ), how difficult do you think killing sarevok was compared to irenicus? I think sarevok was harder

but can u do it after the release of ToB because now i'm playing the game trough 1 last time doing all the quest i never did inglueding unseeing eye and Kangaxx ( imagen it i played the game 3 times trough without the ring of gax )
and when i finish that i think i will be busy playing ToB.

Hello everybody...i had some busy days so i was low on posting....
About the serious topic: i think that a kensai dualled to mage at lvl 12 could be very useful for the hit points....a plain mage would have much lower hit points....and i think we are going to take a LOT of damage in ToB
Also try to answer my previous questions: your first ToB char. will be???; will you dual Sarevok to mage or to thief or not.....these are some ideas....


Tomorrow i'll go to Leipzig with the band i'm involved with.....so i'll meet you again the next week......have some good discussion without me....

i think my first char will be my impotses ranger/cleric i love it really.
or else a assassin/mage.
second time trough it will be a wild mage defenatly

My first time through ToB I’m taking the same character I took through Shadows of Amn the first time and Baldur’s Gate before that. My original character gets the honor of being my first PC to finish his saga. Then it’s on to Wild Magedom!

i think i'll go through the game first with my sorcerer. Maybe then an archer or my ranger cleric, or perhaps a wild mage.

btw part kensai for the HP isnt that usefull since a level 40 mage will have 20 stoneskins ( )

anyway i think a RANGER/CLERIC is great maybe even better then playing a assassin wich i enjoyed very much!

I played a ranger cleric. I just found out that you can still reach the max cleric level if you dual at level 10. (level 10: 600000exp, level 40 cleric: 7200000 exp, i believe) That makes a really powerful character!

@ thedude : you solo a ranger cleric right? Where are you in the game?
