Well according to the story she has developed quite the dexterity, even if it does involve 8 hairy legs
hmm...also equates to four rugby players...how conceited to quote oneself whilst thinking aloud

It may be the first time I have seen someone quote themselves, especially in consecutive posts.
That was a cool bit with the ring though, I wasn't even expecting that, and it's my ring.

lmao!
Too bad all of that arachnid dexterity doesn't remain, or that Tash can't cast as a spider.

Just imagine how quickly those spells could go off with all of those limbs at work
lol Ned,
I had much fun with that, of course Pharis is going to regret not having mentioned that the ring would have that effect

Even if his creator didn't know about it

Puts a whole new twist on the white wedding and "with this ring, I thee wed" ceremony thing, doesn't it?

What's that, if the "lucky" vict... er I mean spouse.. tries to escape they immediately get coated in sticky strands of spider web?
And then wrapped in a silk cocoon to be enjoyed later... ?

I should probably catch up on the story to see what you all are talking about huh? I was thinking of a totally different line of thought with the ring and the finger and what not.

In reading WBs last post, I find myself unable to contain this one time...

I just don't get the anti aerie sentiment.

In my case, it is pretty simple. I don't like like whining, I don't like multi class characters for the most part, my parties were always tank heavey and I took mages and clerics along grudgingly at best. I've heard people say that she becomes a deadly character later, but I don't ever fool with the contigencies, spells, etc, so I never got that use from her either.

You know, I think that people respond to the NPCs a little like they would to their RL stereotypes.
For me, Nalia is the most annoying character because of her patronising do-gooderism. But, I also have an academic background in working class history, so in a way my reaction is almost automatic and kneeejerk. I keep meaning to give her a chance, but she simply never lasts in my party.
Aerie, on the other hand, while I find her whining annoying on occasion, I tend to feel sorry for. I put myself in her place a little, and imagine it would be pretty awful to have my wings rot away from me while in a cage, and thus lose the ability to soar. Plus, she is quite young.
I do know what you mean though BS, there are times when she can be a little hard to take.

Agree wholeheartedly with DW. People like the NPCs they can relate to, and frankly, I can not relate to characters such as Korgan, Jan (Can anyone?), or whoever. A lot of people can't relate to Aerie, or in some cases, Nalia.

I bet BS can relate to Korgan
Hmm... Of the female characters I relate best to Jaheira and Viconia.
Mazzy I like, but I don't do lawful good very well.
And Imoen....she's an odd combination of tortured (literally as well as metaphorically) and bubbly.

I can see you as a Jaheira woman.
I guess I would kind of be Imoen. The emotional insecurities concealed by the dry humor kind of applies. Except I like my soul right where it is.

I like Jan ok, he reminds me of a realative of mine, and the selection of theives in the game blows. The main chracter I can't stand are Arie, Anomen, Cernd and Keldorn can get pretty aggravating at times.
Jaheira you'd think would annoy me, but I suppose I like bossy women

Yeah, Cernd is pretty bland. And Keldorn is on the self-rightious side. Though he can be a kind soul underneath it all I think.
lmao!

Now *that* explains a great deal
