Well here are the only pics I found of the biggest wreck in a NASCAR race over the past 5 years. 30 cars got collected in this wreck. Heres the link and the story with a couple of pics that dont do it justice. :D
Talladega Wreck

Ill search for a couple more albums for you, cause I like doing this stuff. :D

I might have missed something but, the race is supposed to be on the track, right? Then what are they all doing out in the grass? :D

Well thats what happens when someone hits you on the track. Youre in for a ride and sometimes that ride goes throught the grass. :D Pretty cool shots, dont you think?

Yeh, especially the last ones! They might not be as sharp, but they sure are more dramatic!

Yeah, its kind of hard to take a clear picture when there are shards of metal and dirt thrown in every direction. :D

Well as you saw, both drivers were ok. Not terribly happy but they were alright. The guy in the yellow car (Steve Park) has endured many injuries in racing. Hes one of the unlikiest guys out there as far as racing goes, so everyone was holding their breath when they saw that wreck.

Thats understandable, it must be a rough life, as a nascar driver

Well with that much damage, they didnt really put that much effort into fixing the car, so they retired him from the race. That was the end of the race for that car. I think that car must be in some junk pile somewhere in the Pocono region. :D

Scrap dealers must make a good living around these tracks :D

That type of wreck is a rarity. Maybe it only happens 2-5 times per year. (4-10 if you count the second devision of NASCAR) But, yes, people make a living off picking up the junk from wrecked cars and selling it as memorabelia, to crazy fans who want to buy a piece of metal that came flying off their favorite racer's car while he was doing barrel rolls on the backstretch. :D

Sort of what my brother (I guess I can call him seraphshattered now, eh?) found a racoon skull. He took it home, cleaned it. Bleached it. Now its on his desk. Sort of cool, but in a way creepy, I guess. :D
