But I do know what you mean. My son and his friends are often harassed by the girls in his class, and it are invariably the boys who get the blame... :rolleyes:
Yeah, my father told me never to hit girls, so I tried avoiding them. This led to being hit in the back instead of the face with rocks. He wanted to know where my bruises and cuts were from and I said rock-throwing girls. He lectured me on irritating women and not starting fights. I came home the next day with bandages all over me and my neighbor, a young girl my age but in a different class saw them. Father told me not to do anything so I didn't. She kicked some little girl but though on the way out of school. It was sweet of her. :p

I remember moving when I was about 9, to an appartment while we were having a house built. There was a teenage girl who used to tear my arms apart with her nails knowing I wouldn't do anything about it because of my father. Oh, the day we moved I gave her a shot in the nose for my 5 weeks of bleeding everyday. :mad:
I dunno...I am sure a short summary would suffice!
That ruins the fun. :( Oh well, I have vodka.
Yep, the only way to be accepted is to go the way of the sniveling pinko. ;) :p j/k

Also, ned's brew is perfectly acceptable under the red justice of the west IIRC.
Whatever that means, it sounds near acceptable! apart from the shrivelling pinky issue, not too sure what that involves!

BS, nearly! ;)
of course, it all blows over eventually and you get relegated to mythic status where you seldom post and people speak your name in reverant whispers. Then you can start to really mess with people
Like I said - nearly! :p

DW, now you are sarting to make sense! :D

@Magrus,
*sigh* Those damn gender sterotypes... :rolleyes: It is probably because of this type of social conditioning that girls and women are often so highly manipulative.. It wasn't until I was in my late 20s and early 30s that I even started making friends with other women, I always found guys to be much more honest and straightforward. Then I started to meet women who felt exactly as I do, which meant I finally made female friends :cool:

We have told our son never to *seriously* hurt anyone, male or female. However, we have also instructed him to defend himself and hit back if he is provoked, regardless if the person is a boy or girl. Not enough to cause serious injury, but just enough to get the message across.

@Ysh, lol! :D
Hmm... Maybe we should all created a "Twisted Tots and (pre)Teens Club," for our kids :D

I always got along better with girls once I got into my teens just because I avoided anything to do with sports with the guys. Most girls I've noticed though have taken whatever steps they can to get or do whatever they want and then act cute and fragile when they get caught to avoid punishment. For a while I put up with it and then I just got tired of protecting a gender that was obviously walking all over mine. If someone hits me, no matter who now, if I can get away with it and not be arrested for it I knock them onto the ground. Most times, when someone goes down, the fight stops, if they're smart. I told my younger brother to ignore what my father said and defend himself as well. We grew up in a rough neighborhood and if you didn't fight back you'd come home needing a doctor.
Well that is a start, I guess!
I reply to DW, then notice you've replied to me between my reply and hers, and then have to edit my reply, to reply to yours. This is #3 I believe. Must be a DF confusion technique or something...

Vodka is always a good start. :p

It is a hard one isn't it? How do we get them to stand up for themselves, yet insist it is wrong to hit out? I thought I might preempt any issue by offering to buy my boy a pair of DMs. *sigh* he turned them down in favour of velcro fastened shoes. :rolleyes:

(true, btw! :D but I only offered the DMs 'cause I am a fan, not for any other reason!)

The things I must do.... :D

Speaking of things I must do, I have become painfully aware that I haven't eaten today, so I'm out for a bit. It was a delight seeing you again Ysh.

Delighted also of course to have seen DW :D

Next time, Ned brings the booze and Gwally brings...well, whatever it is he brings and we get a real party going :D

And people ask why guys just want sex and no commitment. It's because we know that if we get in a serious relationship, we become controlled...which isn't always a bad thing. ;)

*sigh* Yes exactly... We've tried to steer a middle course with this one.. Of course, his teachers are less than thrilled. The problem is, they don't seem to understand that kids reporting other kids, rather than fighting back, results in bullying and harassment. :rolleyes: Also, I figure if somebody attacks you, you can't just let them get away with it...
If, on the other hand, our son initiated violence on the schoolyard, he probably would be grounded and lose all his electronic privelages for at least an entire month, if not more.

btw, what is a "DM?" ;)

@Magrus, I'm glad that at least you can give guidance to your brother..

lol! Hey, it's not just guys, I know all kinds of women who have similar feelings about wanting sex without strings. Though it may not be coincidental that all of those women are Tomboys :D

So wise for one so young. The submissive one can end up exerting far more control in a relationship if they know what they are doing FYI. ;)

@DW, thats very true. That goes along the lines of education problems as well.

My girl "grassed" up my boy last week. She told me she had seen him "kicking some girls" I later find out from both parties (my boy and girl, since my boy never divulges anything until challenged) that the said girls had got my boy's best friend on the ground and were kicking colours out of him. My boy had reacted to protect his friend. I asked him why he hadn't come to us at the time the bullying had originally started (we have only just become aware there is an ongoing issue after this event) and he told me his friend was embarrassed about being hit by girls, and this boy is not a boy to hit anyone back (never mind girls)

My boy has never been picked on himself, since he is generally a low key yet confident person. He has also shown he will not be intimidated verbally, and at his age it seems to be enough so far. His best friend, however, is a different story (sadly). In a warped way, I was proud of my boy for protecting his friend, but still...

The first thing my youngest said after you left was "when do we get to go to their house and visit them?" And my oldest wanted to know if we could invite your kids back as soon as possible! They really enjoyed the visit and had a great time - baseball bats and all! :D With the addition of Ysh's kids, we would have a perfect mixture for a mini-Dark Flame club. ;)

Not to get back on the whole post count thing, but I passed you and didnt realize it. :eek:

I just mold young women into little freaks that are fun to play with. I leave worrying about the next generation to less corrupt folks. Want other kids like me to have a challenge akin to mine upon growing up. :p
