I like Jan ok, he reminds me of a realative of mine, and the selection of theives in the game blows. The main chracter I can't stand are Arie, Anomen, Cernd and Keldorn can get pretty aggravating at times.

Jaheira you'd think would annoy me, but I suppose I like bossy women

:p
Yoshimo was good, in my opinion. Just a few snags with him later in the game screwed that plan over, though.

Shame for you: I kinda like Aerie. And I like Cernd more. And you know my place on Ano. :p :p

But I'm with you on Keldorn. ;)

There is no soft spot. I am a hard hearted man who is not moved by things like pity or compassion :mad:

BS is back??? Since when? :confused:

My favourite person to annoy has returned...Joy!!! :D

I'd like to play along in the story if you folks don't mind.

If it were possible I'd like to do a half-orc fighter, raised in civilization (very oppressed and scorned upon), who could possibly be part of the legion that marches on Tethyr. Then, of course, he'd have a change of heart sometime along the road. Again, just a side idea. If that's ok with everyone else, I'd like to try that angle.

Oh and BTW...SMACK @ BS :D ....for old times sake.

Normally I would advise against doing this because BS enjoys it so much, but since it's coming from you I have to concede that I am curious to see his reaction. :D

Z, why don't you join the story as a kobald/gnoll hybrid? I mean, sure, it's not much of a stretch for you to write a character so similar to yourself, but still, we do need something for fas's cat to play with when fas is otherwise occup[ied :p

And my being here is a long story. I already told it somewhere. Dig it up :D

@AC...I guarrantee it's not the same reaction you get when you smack me ;) :D

I wasn't aware my physical way of fending your lecherous self off was hurting you so badly! :o In that case, I think we should end our abusive relationship right now. I'll start by blocking every one of your screen names I'm aware of post-haste! :(

I never said you hurt me, just that Z smacking me doesn't have quite the same excitement as when you do it. Nice to know you never really meant for it to put me off though. I knew you cared ;) :D

um, understand that the monk will kill him if he starts anything with the elf(elves?) in the party, just for party coheasion(sp?). but other then that, nope i dont have a problem. might be interesting to not be the only tank in the party ;)

Not sure it's the most inviting way to welcome a potential writer to threaten to kill him if he does anything you see as threatening to another party member. There have been people who have written themselves into earlier storylines as opposition, and it can go pretty well, even if they don't change sides.Besides, killing off another writers character should never be done unless you have the writer of that characters express permision to do so. Which would also prevent him from simply writing in with his first post that your character tried to kill him and was killed himself. :p regardless, most writers can take care of their own characters. There have been many instances over the years where someone attempted to enter a story thread, assert their dominace, and had it dealt with in the most interesting ways. ;)

Not sure exactly what you mean by the only tank in the party. I was under the impression that Cuch's character liked to do most of his fighting up close and personal but I could be a bit mislead there. However, BS is useless as a range fighter since he has no skill with bows and an intolerance of magic, and does most of his combat as a front line fighter. While he is equipped well to handle mages, for the most part the nature of most fights, his past, etc give him a lot of experience as a front line guy. Could be the description of him wearing leather armor instead of plate mail and such seems misleading, but I wanted to make sure that he has some liabilities such as less armor, no real way to buff himself as he doesn't take to magic etc simply because I don't like chracters who are so overpowered that they simply can't be hurt. I think when a character is to the point that not much of anything can take him down, it gets boring, and it unbalances the story for myself and any other writers involved. If a character is damned near indestructable, what's the point in writing anyway, since all you have to do is wade in, kill enemies, watch blows bounce off you, etc. It takes all the human elements out of the story IMO. ;)

@The Z,
it would be awesome if you joined in the insanity, and I think your character idea sounds really cool. IMO, it adds depth to have an opposition type of character. :cool:

@Demo,
just for the record:
Tashara, these days especially, tends to prefer spellcasting, but she is a capable melee fighter. The character started out as a dual class fighter/mage. While, perhaps not a tank in the strictest sense, she isn't exactly afraid to slice something deserving into ribbons with her sword either.

Haven't read the last two parts yet, but will do in a few minutes.
I just saw 5 SE:FR members online, too bad two of them are in invisible mode. I hate invisible mode. :mad:

lol! I tend to lurk in invisible mode when I know I won't be around for very long ;)
Of course, sometimes I forget I'm in invisible mode too :rolleyes: :o

I went invisible ones, but gently reminded myself that I hated it. Would be kind of betraying myself. :o (What's the word for it again? Saying you will do one thing, but doing another?? Help me out here, what are you if you do that? Damn, it’s annoying if you can’t remember a word…

At any rate, maybe I should get started on a new part as well. Summer holidays has started for me, and I just might have some spare time. :p

the word is "hypocrite" ;)

Sounds good :D Writing is always a fun way to use spare time IMO

Not sure that was what I was looking for (it's actually more annoying if you have to translate from another language), but it’ll do. :)

By the way, who decides, or when is it decided what we are up against? If we wait a while with establishing that, some are bound to write in riddles about the enemies we face (like me :p ). Demo kind of decided what class our enemy is and what kind of markings the orcs are wearing. Since he seems to know about the Shinobi and their clan, we are kind of dependant on the information he may or may not throw our way.

Hmm... I don't think anything has quite been determined in terms of exactly defining the enemy ;)

So far there have been suggestions of dragons, a Shinobi or Jon Irenicus himself :D

IMO, it makes sense to wait until we are all finally gathered in Windhaven. That way the party members can exchange information and start trying to put together a picture. I definitely think that some sort of distinct markings on the orcish armor would be a good idea though, it would be a way to get the ball rolling in terms of an investigation.

Just my POV though, others may well differ ;)
