I don't claim that Jack Lambert was the greatest middle linebacker to play the game, although he is certainly one of the top five (I'd say third behind Ray Nitschke and **** Butkus), but that the Steel Curtain was the greatest defense of all time. As a unit they played together longer and better than any other defense including the Doomsday Defense, the Monsters of the Midway, Miami's No-Name Defense, the Purple People Eaters, or anyone else (you'll notice that the Ravens don't have a cool--and feared--nickname).

**** Cheney's name is also censored, and I don't think it's out of fear. Also, my first crush on a TV star was Erin Gray on Buck Rogers as Colonel Wilma Deering.

I agree. (As a steelers fan, of course I would. As for best linebacker, Butkis was an animal. One story was he crapped in his pants during a game...and kept right on playing! Don't know how true that is, but

Twiki, voiced by Mel (Bugs Bunny) Blanc, along with his buddy Dr. Theopolis. bede-bede-bede-bede

The girls on Battlestar Galactica (Sheba, Cassiopia, Athena, Serena) were pretty hot, too.

Uh...unless I am mistaken, the 'old Transformers'(which I remember quite clearly and I'm only 18) was anime(the older style like Speed Racer and Mobile Suit Gundam)...we just didn't know any different then(at least, I didn't). I do agree that the new Transformers show just isn't the same, but I still enjoy watching it.

Anyone here remember Johnny's(sp?) Quest? *isn't sure about the movie's name* It's the predecessor(sp?) for The Real Adventures of Johnny(sp?) Quest.

Well, the new Transformers, so many things are messed up. for one, it's not Decepticons in this one, as it was in the classic one. Now, it's the Predicans, which, IMO, was a bad idea for even the Beast Wars series. Second, in the original, and this is vague at best in memory, the Autobots didn't use weapons. Also, the Decepticans were big honking machines of war, ie/ tanks, and jets and stuff like that...

So many thing are different from the original, it's just not worth watching.

I'll have to watch it again, but I thought they were Decepticons in the new show.

I remember it that they did have weapons. I do know that my old Transformers Autobots toys did.

They did change it up quite a bit, but they still have those on the side of the evil transformers. *can remember stuff from when she was little, but can't remember stuff from last Saturday very clearly...*

There is a lot different from the original, but I just view it as AU and watch it anyway. It's not the same, but it's still pretty good.

I don't remember Optimus Prime being a Fire Truck. Wasn't he just an 18-wheeler? I also haven't seen that yellow VW Beetle from the original. :( He was my fave.

IIRC, each side had different 'groups' that were named for what they were. i.e., on the side of good were the Autobots and Dinobots. On the side of evil were the Decepticons and...uh...I don't remember what else. *wonders where her Transformers book is*

So what you're saying is you did notice, and then realised Carrie Fisher was old enough to be your grandmother, and subsequently suppressed that knowledge? :D
