Story:
(within The Rift) Magus is bent over a an ancient tome. He whispers incantations under his breath as he reads.
Aerie walks into the room.
Aerie (somewhat shaken): Love, must...you study so? There's nothing to do around here without you.
(walks over to Magus, puts her arms around him) Come outside...with me.
Magus: Did you like the planar scrying ball I made for you? It lets you see almost anything in the Planes...
Aerie (shivers, seems about to cry): Yes, I-I tried using it. I thought of the abyss, I don't know why, and suddenly there it was! I...I don't want to see that again...(buries head in Magus's shoulder, starts to cry)
Magus (concerned): I'm sorry, love (smoothes her hair) Alright, maybe a trip outside wouldn't be such a bad idea, huh? Come on, calm down, love. (strokes her back)
Aerie (slowly stops crying): Thank you. Can...can we go now?
Magus (lets go of Aerie, gets up): Of course.
Aerie gets up, they hold hands, and Magus quickly chants a teleportation spell. They vanish, and...

Appear right in front of Aran Lindvale.
Magus (confused): What the...?
Aerie (withdraws): W-Why are we here, Magus? I thought we'd go somewhere more...peaceful.
Magus (irritated): I was thinking about Aran's notice, earlier (sighes) Oh well, we're here, aren't we? So what is it, Aran?
Aran: If you're through, I have something of upmost importance to discuss with you. And only with you, preferably (motions to Aerie)
Magus (wearily): We've gone over this before, Aran. Aerie is privy all I do. Now what is this "topic of utmost importance?"
Aran (gives up argument): Are you familiar with the name Ubik?
Magus: Ubik? I know that black-hearted bastard. What's this have to do with him?
Aran (smiling): Well, word has it he's come to town. Asked me to give you his regards...
Magus (warningly): Don't try my patience, Aran.
Aran (irritated): Hmph. Fine. Ubik has been asking around, discreetly of course, for information regarding a lost artifact of Myrkul. It is said to grant the holder the ability to command scores of the departed to rise from the immediate area, and to control even the strongest of undead. With this item...it is said Necromancers of lore waged titanic battles across Faerun, enveloping all in their path. Obviously, the Shadow Thieves have no desire for Athlatka to be razed by hordes of undead. But few would believe the word of a Shadow Thief...except you (grins)
Magus (a smile creeps onto his face despite himself): Indeed. (sobers) But this is truly serious. Ubik, here? And after an item of such power? This does not bode well. I think it's time to call up some old friends. You'll keep me posted, right Aran? (starts casting another teleportation spell, Aerie hustles over to get into its effect)
Aran (softly, sarcastically): Of course. As you command, master.(Magus and Aerie disappear)
A thief enters and walks up to Aran: Shall I keep track of him?
Aran: Yes, of course. I never did trust a mage.
Thief: As you command, sir. (starts to leave)
Aran (softly): And make sure the moron doesn't come to any harm.
Thief (over his shoulder, smiling to himself): Of course, sir.

Hello!
Alright,I change my equipment a bit: Lloth's Blessings does 1D3 extra damage (cold and acid). By the way,all my equipment is enchanted in a way that allows me to walk under the sun for as long as 8 hours a day.
I will keep my figurine of pleasure, though (summon a nymph three times a day to have fun with). I will come up with an intro shortly!

At night in the lonely streets of Athkatla, a lone figure glides between the darkened doorways. Those going about their business in the late hours who catch a glimpse of the fleeting form are unsure as to what they have exactly seen. A ghost perhaps? The cloaked figure moves silently through the alleyways avoiding the few denizens of the city awake at this time.

The ghost has a purpose, moving with determination to his ultimate destination. Where is he going...?

*Seabass' past is unknown, and he demands that it stays that way. Many believe that he himself does not know of his origin, and that is why he becomes easily annoyed with longwinded questions concerning his heritage. The only fact that has been proven is that there is some sort of extreme, dense magic that surrounds Seabass and those who follow him. Many believe that he has the blood of a god, others accuse him of being a foul mystical creature hiding in a mans skin. Abandoned at birth by whoever or whatever delivered him, he has suffered many hardships through his life since it itself is very mysterious. Even though his situation, Seabass has found his calling, and discovered that his very being is intertwined with the art of magic. At a very early age he began experimenting, and is today one of the most powerful mages of the entire Amn region, and is truly a force to be reconed with. In his late teenage years Seabass joined up with two other adventurers, which also had been proclaimed outcasts because of their special and unique talents. Ubik, a man of dark magic, not unlike Seabass in many aspects, was a part of this group. There was also a man called Serevon, a kensai that had truly become one with the ancient fighting techniques and the spiritual world that came with it, he was a marvelous fighter went forth like a juggernaut on the battlefield. The party travelled for many years until one day, Ubik departed without reason, this surely shocked Seabass, but his journeys continued nonetheless.*

Yeah Im trying to think of a nice keep... but since assman Magus made the perfect one, theres hardly anything left to improvise as far as housing for a mage goes at least.

Waverly the seer has foreseen his own demise. A daggar in the back...a female hand. Only a woman would catch him off guard long enough to do the deed.

Waverly is now invulnerable and cannot be killed. Mwahaha Image

As for his equipment, it is a mystery for now.

Now, kiddies, let us gather... The Evil party will consist of:

Ubik Shadowkiller (that's me)
Gruntboy
Seabass (with his friend, Saremon)
Omar
Waverly
Ron

is there one I forget? Hope not. If there are some wannabe evil rectuiters, just let me know, and you are in (we allways welcome some cannon fodder.. uhm, err, some new allies in the battle against good)
Weasel's stance is still a mystery... but him being such a doublecrossing filthy traitor he is, it is possible for him to switch sides ...four or five times during the adventure.

In a while I shall post my intro, and then - if Drakron is online - he could share with us some details regarding that little artifact Magus mentioned.

I am not sure about if magus is talking about the "Crown of Horns" or something else, so he must say if its is or not.
The crown is a nasty thing but I cant say anything about it at this time(besides I have to check about it,I dont have the "book of artifacts" with me at this time).

Windspear hills. Deep into the night. A figure emmences into the ruins, searching, looking for something.
As the moon arises from behind the clouds, we can see the man. He is dark, tall, and has a black beard on. He's got black eyes but a red glance dances within them.
People call him Ubik Shadowkiller. He is the last of the wicked necromancer clan that was pesting east Faerun a couple of centuries ago.
Ubik survived the fall of his clan and after wandering around he sattled down in a little village, close to Trademeet, where he lived with a mysterius woman. But looks like a mages life cannot be too easy. His wife was driven away by dreams of immense power, and he found himself chased by the cowled wizards, after a rather annoying incident.
Once again, he thought of fleeing, but there have been news ...news about an artifact of tremendous powers, something worth trying to get.
And so, Ubik went on again, making his way to Alkathla. He met some old associates and friends (the wicked necromancers, even 150 yeears after their fall had some influence in certain areas) and he managed to gain control of the planar sphear, after killing a ranger called Valygar who seemed to be the one who held the power to enter the sphear.
Ubik started gathering informations and soon he was able to know that he had no chance trying to get that artifact alone.
So, he send out word to his once trusted allies (also they were the closest thing to a friend he could have) Seabass, a powerfull mage with whom he had travelled some years back, Sarevon, a strong devoted fighter who is in league with Seabass and Gruntboy, one of the well known indipendent thieves of Alkathla.
There were also some other people that could help his cause, so he send out note to gather them too in the planar sphear - Omar, a mysterious exiled Drow fighter, Ron, another newcomer in the undreground bussines of Alkathla and Waverly, a sorcerer of great reputation but unpredictable and unreliable.
Not all of them came in - looks like Waverly has goten himself into trouble and currently has been held in the state prison. That was nothing some gold couldn't fix.
The meeting has been an interesting one and all the participants left with a smile... Ubik has told them he had to go for some days to find out more about a great source of power (which he did not discuss with them - a leader must have his secrets) and to keep their eyes open, especially for the moves of a particular mage called Magus.
Then he headed to the Windspear ruins, to find some evidence...
The dark figure hears a noise. Someone seems to be there. He hides in the shadows and waits. Another dark figure comes towards. Ubik thinks quickly of a spell... "bah, I will better use my staff for this" He wields his allmighty "ridiculus staff" and comes forth.
"And who might you be, dark one?" he asks the stranger.
The figure stops. In the right hand the figure is wielding a - propably magical - flail, and in the left a small, glowing shield.
"I would ask you the same questions, manling"
Oh, that voice... deep and fascinating... one of the most sensational female voices he has ever heard. And, as he can see now, it is a woman. Not any woman, though. She is a female drow.
"What is an Underdark dweller doing here? What is your name, woman? I am Ubik Shadowkiller, Necromancer of the Wicked Clan and currently residing in Alkathla".
"Oh, then you might know what I am looking for, Ubik. My name is Viconia..."

(to be continued)

not really Seabass, this was just my intro - (extended, cause I am your leader so I had to cover some things up) you have had yours a while ago. Still waiting for Drakron to fill in some info, so we can start.
