What a 19th Century military philosopher has to do with Nukes I don't know.
The less said about Sun Tzu the better.
By promoting a lose-lose scenario, no-one will play. Get it? If you admit that you are not willing to die, the Terrorists win because they will play.

The Earth is going to crash into the Sun at some point so why worry? In the meantime, lets stop the crazies from accelerating the process by threatening to ram Cruise Missiles up their rear-ends and post their beloved family members' genitals to them COD. They won't want to play. Nor will they risk "martyrdom".
"Yeah, you went to paradise but look what we did to your corpse and the people you left behind."
This is a *real* emotional subject for me.
