Even if you think you're not breaking the rules, it is not your job to interpret the rules in the way you think they should be interpretted. It is the job of the moderators and these people have been appointed to the position because they are considered best able to interpret and enforce the rules accordingly.
Even if you didn't intend to insult/offend anyone, pay attention to the moderator's warnings. From what you've said, you seem to not want to insult anyone. Use these warnings as a guideline to better discern what would be considered insulting and what wouldn't be considered insulting.
This is just a little advice from personal experience. I hope you use it well.

This goes back to my point. What constitutes insulting someone. This is a little vague to the say the least, it is not a black and white issue. I find this atitude quite naive.
Please no more peronsal advice on how to conduct a discussion.

at99 don't be a dumbass. Ottomans did rule Christians. They conquered land up till Austira. They ruled the Christians in Armenia and places.

Moderator authority means they know best when it comes to such things. It's like parental authority, "father knows best" even if you don't agree with him. Only real difference is that moderators are appointed because they are considered best for the position. You don't really want to get grounded, do you? When you disagree with your parents, that doesn't change the fact that they can punish you if they think you've done wrong.

Look at this way, at99. Who has the last say in such matters? Buck. Can Buck be at the board at all times? No. Who does Buck place in authority over the rest of us to keep order while he is unable to be here? The moderators. What does this mean? If a moderator warns you to stop doing something, even if you don't think you're doing that something, you do what the moderator says.
BTW, muslims did/do control what was once Christian land. There is a mosque in Instanbul(?) that was once the largest, most revered Christian church in the Roman Empire. Also, weren't the Moors who invaded Spain muslim as well?
Edit: BTW, don't you think it makes you look silly since you misquoted me by leaving off "things"?

Uhh...what? Now I'm confused.

I don't know how old you are, though by observing your behaviour, I would estimate about 15-18(no offense intended, this is just an observation). Could you at least explain what you mean by the age gap?

Okay people - play nice
Being 'insulted' by some remarks is in 'the eye of the beholder'. Someone may get offended and someone believes they are telling the truth. In a court of law I believe you dont have a case against me.
It is all a matter of intent.
@at99: the mods. have been placed on this board to try to keep it clean, it is that simple.
What goes and does not goes on selective perception does not count when your "in somebody else playground".
This is not a court of law, this is not a "Free speach" forum - this is owned by Buck Satan (or is alter ego, that is

), and therefore he sets the rules.

Man, I like seeing Buck come out to play when its something fun, like asking him Q's But I don't like seeing him have to come out and deal with this mess.

Ysh that is a sweepng statement, but that is what i think.
People in the third world from what i have seen do pay more attention in foriegn affairs esp in key nations, for pakistan it would be china, india and Saudi Arabia.
There is no need for americans to do so and they IMHO don't care.
As Thorin said they live in a great country with a great deal of comforts.
But that doesn't mean you ignore what is happening outside.
I don't really want to drag out this issue - so my musings do not necessitate an answer - my reasons for quoting you initially was really to point out that your justification of opinion could also apply the same label to the Brits

Americans, if labelled so on the basis of your generalisation, are no more ignorant than this Yorkshire lass and her neighbours...
