It is not a "new" lightsaber type. Asajj Ventress didn't make the lightsaber type, she just perfected it. So they could add it the lightsaber types they got in the K series already.

Types of lightsaber

In Star wars fan fiction they add a few more types of lightsaber

1. lightwhip

It's what it sounds like. It's got a hilt but creats a flowing beam that moves like a whip

2. lightstaff

A long staff/hilt that creats a solid beam at 1 end

I've seen the light staff in a comic series of SW, but i have'nt see thelightwhip. But anyway these would both be interesting saber's to try, but i'm more of a traditional guy and i would mostly use the single/original lightsaber.

How about the triple lightsaber? It would be made of (suprisingly) three lightsabers and put together in the shape of a glaive. It could be thrown or striked with or even spined around dealing area damage.

That sounds imposible, since light moves with the speed of... light.

The lightsaber whip would be a way cool addition to the lightsabers in KoTOR.

And it is quite possible to have one. In the Forces of corruption expansion for Empire at War, Silri a Nightsister from Dathomir wields a lightsaber whip.

The fact that someone is wielding it does not make it possible.

I still don't understand how can laser be curved.

Neither do I, but it seems to be working just fine.

But I think it will be rather difficult to integrate into the (current) engine. The whip needs to be seperated into many small pieces and then it would still look like a bunch of lightsaber blades put together.

I think that if u are a marauder or a weapon master, u should be able to wield dual double lightsabers!! that would be so sick. or like a double and single. Was it Tulak Hord that could wield 2 double lightsabers at once??? or was it Freedon Nadd? I don't know but I know it was one of the Sith Lords.

There could be special double bladed ones that can detach from each other half to make two single hilts. there could be two crystal or it could be a broken focusing crystal that seperates.

maybe a weapon that is a double blade but one side is melee one side is lightsaber, but it is really really hard to use, likte you need perfect 2 weapon dueling and finesse melee and lightsaber.

I've never heared of anything like that. I think that Freedon Nadd used some blaster and short lightsaber, now that would be a mix: block his lightsaber with yours, then shoot him.

The closest thing to what you're saying that I saw is 4 single blades (Grievous). But then again, he had 4 arms as well. Are you sure someone actually had more blades then hands (not counting Darth Traya)?

Tulak Hord was the greatest Sith lightsaber duelist, and according to kreia, made all newer sith seem like they were playing with toys. now i dont know if that means he could have wielded 2 doubles or it could mean he was just a bad ass with them.

not just the new Sith, but everyone. point made, however. i think you could kind of read between the lines of that statement though. he makes the Force-users of that day look like children playing with toys, right? well it doesn't mean he'd kick all their asses, it could simply mean that he can make saber fighting look far more complex than anything we've seen, yet still fight how one is supposed to: in order to stay alive. meaning that the common-day Jedi/Sith could still stand a chance against him, though wouldn't be able to fight with as much complexity and still pose a threat as easily as he could.

but if you look at a book, you see there's nothing between the lines except blankness. so if you read between them, there's nothing to read, meaning you can make up whatever the **** you want

Dark Saber

Requirements

Black crystal

Black Batery- over heated with power of 32,000,000 F

clear lens

Saber beam- huge

One swing, It can over load a regular light saber and cause it to malfunction and shut down beyond repair.

One swing, I can cut through a high tech metal dooor like paper
