It's in the first level on the expansion. Just off the beach. Look around, you'll find the gate.

Trance of Wrath and Distort Reality.

Trance of Wrath is useless all together, by the time you're high enough in level, it does very minimal damage to anything beyond normal Hades. Distort Reality is good for it's stunning ability, not as an attack that should be maxed out.

My suggestion-

Take out all 12 points from Trance of Wrath, and 4 points each from Distort Reality and Temporal Rift.

Now you should have 20 points to spend freely-

3 points in Phantom Strike, 8 points in Dream Stealer, 3 points in Trance of Empathy, and 6 points in Hamstring.

This will work wonders for your character.

Thanx

Thanx for the advice :)
Im just wonderin...is hamstring realy that effective?

Yes, it reduces armor in two different ways while you do onslaught, as well as it slows them down even more so you get in a full build up of onslaught before they can even attack. This is incredibly effective against bosses as well, considering a boss wouldn't usually do a rapid fire of a lot of attacks (except for the minotaur in the Minoan Labyrinth). Most bosses do a slow powerful attack, so slowing that down is a blessing in disguise.

Actually your harbringer probably needs some better gear. But take the points out of triumph. It is bugged and the only thing that works is the - stun resist. Trance of Wrath becomes an asset in legendary when you face oponents with damage resistance. The electrical burn isn't big.

Also Lucid dream only works on dream skills. Max temporal rift (the synergy of distort reality) You want the petrify skill. If you can't kill in 8 seconds then your gear is at fault. Plus you can do tons of burn damage.

Hamstring sucks. 8 lower defense is worth one point but 8 lower armor means you do 2 extra points of damage per hit. 1 pt in hamstring only if you have good + skills and pts to spare. Check titanquest.net (search) for further discussion.

You need gear. I suggest farming epic whatever you can survive in (or legendary if you can survive there). 80% of a harbringer is gear.

Throw a pt in Battle rage. It might seem like 8% will never trigger but it will in large mobs. Which is perfect time for 50% extra offensive ability.

Trance of Wrath can also help you leach from constructs and undead :) Get a weapon or item with leach and pimp out phantom strike and/or warwind to leach from multiple enemies at once. If you get in a jam hit distort reality and then leach more health. By the time 8 seconds is up (remember petrify resist does not exist) you will have leached a lot of life and they will be dead.

PS read the harbringer threads on titanquest.net those are the experts with gear suggestions/strategies etc.

I think hamstring only slows movement not total speed or attack speed. I've only noticed it helping crits a little bit...

The amount of crits i get is super for ledgend, thanx 2 hamstring....85% of the time a crit :D

cool I didn't know that. 1 pt in battle rage is good for crits too. It triggers usually against archers and then you get an extra 50% OA

to Chaos.

Definately max onslaught tree (inc. Hamstring).

Weapons main: Green text Items are your friend - basically I have found with my Harbinger (61st level) with 2 x good damage green text items with Achilles relics in both I now am able to do 6900 dps (with onslaught triggered to max up to 12000 dps).

weapon switch: 2 x persephone caress - basically each heal back health at 50 health per second so 100 health per second + wht ever % bonuses you get from items is good for a quick weapon switch to heal your life bar back to normal without potions.

Armour: Achilles Helm: Ares Bracelets: Alexanders
Amulet: Immortal rage Boots: Athenas

Now rings and relic can be a personal thing since there are quite a few combo's that can work quite well. This also allows you to tweak as to whether you want to go all damage output or resistances with less damage output.

Hope this helps as an option anyways.

;)

Never go for life leech, it's too slow a thing to deal with, no matter how high the number. You'll eventually kill the leeched enemy before you gain more than a hundred health points back.

And items are random, there's no specific location you should farm other than a high level farming area (Such as Typhon or many various areas of Hades).

Not unless you can get something that's 50% or above. Granted, this means each attack is an instant health boost to you, if you do 200 damage to someone, you get a percent of that 200 damage added to your current health. BUT, the problem is, there aren't many items that get above 50%, and if you're not getting some sort of real benefit out of this, it might just not be worth it.

Various places in hades means anywhere where you can get item drops. Basically, the entire act of hades is a good place to farm, and it only gets better the further down you go.

I'm a lvl 40 Harbinger (Warfare/Dream).

I just reached Epic and got a new green sword (the offhand weapon is still from Act III Norm, but I haven't found anything better yet. +45% attack speed is nothing to be trifled with) and some new equip. All greenies, and one blue (torso armor). I used to be a heavy poison build, with Venom Heart and various rings and charms that added poison damage. But now, after an hour of Epic play time, I dropped the poison and went for normal damage. My DPS went up about 200 since reaching Epic, but it still isn't where I want it to be: 594 without Onslaught. Attack speed is 189%.

I only play my Harbinger in multiplayer anymore, with a buddy of mine. The added difficulty was a real pain in Hades, seeing as we usually split up to cover more ground. The times I've cursed Machae (or something) Archers are, well, numerous to say the least. It doesn't help he gets all the good drops and I get squat. Yesterday we both found a legendary item (I didn't even know you could find Legendaries in Epic, but there ya go). I got some staff I can't use, and he got Truncheon of Malice (He's a Templar). Just finding that one item boosted his DPS to 1000, base dmg. Still nowhere near as much as some people here, but a lot more than me. Ah, the jealousy.

Anyway, I used to be a Dream-build, with Warfare as a secondary. But I've switched that around now, all I have left from Dream is the Lucid Dream tree maxed. I tried Warwind, but found it lacking. I'll go back to Phantom Strike, most likely. Or Distort Reality, because that spell saved our bottoms on more than one occasion in Hades. But right now we're strolling through Act I. Enemies go down a tad slower, but do a lot less damage. At least, for now. I dread the day that they start using poison and elemental damage, because our resistances are down the toilet. Way down. But my 5000 HP are enough to hold my own for now. Once we reach a decent farming ground we'll probably stay there for a while, because we're in dire need of some better equipment.

EDIT: This is our first time playing the game, btw, so any pointers would be very much appreciated.
