And that's still all beside the point. Some people might have sold said weapon, just like I sold the masterwork maul, not KNOWING it would be needed. Then who's going to carry it without being encumbered, who's going to be proficient let alone specialise in that weaponry before level 10, what if you went with a party of 5 rogues or 5 wizards, what if you never found said weaponry, what if the game glitches your attack values (which it does frequently) what if the one character who can weild said weapon doesn't have enough HP to go the length of the battle, what if said weapon weilder has too low AC.
You're just nonchalently saying, everything's fine, it's all normal, based on such a fine perameter of details that an adventurer must pertain to.
You're treating random battle encounters like quests - you have to have XYZ items before you proceed here - how about the game makes you in some way AWARE of ALL of these facts?
The fight itself isn't the only glitch at work, it's ALL the game's glitches and floors compounding upon each other to give ludicrous results.
And so you think it is in someway NOT a glitch for my fighter who, by some miracle, had the right weapon, to only hit one-in-seven/eight times, on every re-load? Just bad luck... again?
But yes, it's all do-able LOL.
Well, except the end-fight because I sold the masterwork maul and the blacksmith doesn't keep what you sell him. I have the wind scroll by some miracle and the Holy Water, and the fireball scroll is either in a merchant's hand, used or not found, but I'm guessing that no-one in the entirety of the land can provide me with a simple run of the mill masterwork maul or basic fireball scroll. I mean, jeez, I can cast flame strike for heaven sake and the guy who asked me to find the scroll is a freaking high level wizard!
You see what I mean, it's like... OMFG!
